The Malays from West Asia. You gotta be kidding me!

MALACCA: A study by a group of researchers has deduced that the Malays originated from West Asia, thus debunking a widely accepted theory that they are from Yunan, southern China, said Malay World Islamic World (DMDI) president Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.

He said the 20-year scientific study, which were conducted by three local researchers, was supported by empirical evidence.
The researchers are Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia's Institute of Malay World and Civilisation principal research fellow Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Nik Hassan Suhaimi Nik Abd Rahman, National Defence University of Malaysia Faculty Defence Studies and Management lecturer Prof Datuk Dr Wan Hashim Wan Teh, and Suara Pribumi chairman Zaharah Sulaiman.
"If genetic tests were anything to go by, our deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) does not match that of the people of Yunan but matches that of West Asians.
"This study is important because the DNA determines our ancestry and our origin. As the new findings are very strong and can be defended, a book on them will be published," he told reporters after the opening of a regional symposium on tracing the Malay roots here, today. -- BERNAMA

Fist and foremost, no one, I mean NO SANE one should take Ali Rustam seriously.
Besides becoming a not so good politician, and was once a laughing stock (at least to most of Malaysian) when he made the Malacca's governor conferred  a Datukship to Shah Rukh Khan, to which the actor didn't even bother to collect during the ceremony.

This ex-Malacca chief was questioned then on the reason of the tittle being given to the actor who doesn't even know where Malacca is. Nevertheless, this obviously coward man, whom in most of his political being are afraid of taking responsibility of his own action, muka tak malu Ali Rustam, sold former Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin's name by saying that the latter suggested so in order to promote Malacca in the tourism industry!...Weird.
And now, after losing his chair in last general election, this weirdo came around supporting another weird theory.

Now, for those who are not sure what is West Asia, I append here a map. This is West Asian countries :

Which part of the majority Malays resemble any of those people from these countries?
No doubt there are Malays whose great grandparents originated from West Asian countries but obviously not the majority.
This theory, or studies or whatever they did during that twenty years of wasting time indicated the Malays
And that obviously sounded like the majority.

Either those 20 years studies had made the three professors gone mad or they simply trying to make believe they are originated from these countries.

Ali Rustam on the other hand, proves to be yet another dumb going dumber!
