A Jewish-Jewish debate has heated up in recent years in the United States with new critical voices of Israel taking centre stage. Such healthy debate is not unique in American politics. Immigrant communities like Cubans, Irish and Armenians do the same.
But confining the US debate on Palestine and the Arab world to a mere intra-Zionist debate is counterproductive. It's narrowly defining and largely dictating the larger debate over US policy towards the Arab-Israeli conflict.

It renders the Palestinians relevant only by what they mean to Israel, not for who they are or how they are related to the larger Arab or Muslim worlds.
They are judged to be moderate or extremist, enlightened or primitive, peace loving or evildoers according to their tolerance of Israel's occupation or rejection of a "Jewish state" on "their" lands.
This approach has culminated in utter US failure to conclude a successful peace process to end the conflict. A failure that could further diminish US leverage to the detriment of its policy towards the region.

But this is neither inevitable nor irreversible.

Jews by association
American Jewish association with Israel has intensified over the last few decades. Coolness towards the early labour/socialist Israel gave way to new excitement after Israel's 1967 victory against the Arabs and its occupation of all of Palestine.

Eventually, the emergence of the "special relationship" Americanised Israel and opened the floodgates of Jewish support to the new regional ally.

Unlike Jewish communities from other countries who emigrated to Israel in droves, American Jews have overwhelmingly stayed in America. Instead of migrating, they provided indispensable support, financial, political and even strategic.
To their credit - the estimated 4 million Jews, who emigrated to North America from Europe between 1860 and 1960, and their descendants have emerged as powerful and influential actors throughout the American establishment, and hence their position carried huge weight over their main issue of interest, Israel/Palestine.

This is especially the case because Palestine does not count on its own as a strategic imperative for the US and Palestinian/Arab Americans have failed to mount a counter political charm offensive.
Moreover, the Arab world has been divided and weak and in the absence of regional pressure on Washington to act responsibly and fairly, leaving Washington ever more perceptive to domestic Jewish influence.

The only two exceptions to this rule came first in 1991 when the George Bush administration insisted that Israel freeze all settlement building in the occupied Palestinian territories in order to convene the international conference for peace. And in 2010, when General David Petraeus reportedly warned that the Palestinian issue was "fomenting anti-American sentiment due to the perception of US favouritism towards Israel".

But even that concern was soon pushed aside when Washington appeared to be engaging in the peace process once again.
Unfortunately, American Zionism has remained largely antiquated despite Israel's own historians' demystification of the traditional Zionist narrative by chronicling early Zionists' war crimes and revealing their covert plans to take over Palestine. The American Zionists continue to hold onto myths and mythologies about the "miracle" of Israel, a city on a hill.

Jewish polarisation.
The US turn to the left and Israel's further turn to the right after the 2008 elections, have polarised the organised American Jewish elites and put pressure on moderate Jewish voices to be openly critical of Israel and distance themselves from the extremist policies of the Netanyahu government.

The new split has reinvigorated the political debate between these Jewish moderates who demand that Israel end its occupation and its illegal settlement construction in order to allow for the establishment of a Palestinian state, and the radicals, who demand that the Palestinians embrace Israel as a "Jewish state" and relinquish their rights over Jerusalem and Palestinian right of return, even before a final negotiated settlement is reached.

While on the face of it, the moderates' position is a big step forward on the road of recognising Palestinians' rights in Palestine, it stems primarily from having Israel’s best interest in mind. Not Palestine's.

They see a compromise in the occupied West Bank as a necessary step to maintain the "democratic" character of the Jewish state and ensure continued US support for an Israel ever more isolated in the region and in the world.

But they don't recognise the importance of admitting Israel’s historic injustices or compensating the Palestinians for more than six decades of dispossession and more than four decades of occupation.

In other words, while the moderates attempt at saving Israel from itself and unburdening Judaism from the ills of occupation and apartheid is commendable, it falls short on addressing the Palestinians as victims of Israel's aggression.


Jews by disassociation.
Make no mistake, there are also many non-Zionists as well as robust post-Zionist and anti-Zionist activists among American Jews.
If Palestine's worst opponents in the US are Jewish, so are Palestine's most vocal and dedicated supporters.

This is especially admirable because supporting Israel is praised, celebrated and even rewarded (including tax breaks) in the US, while supporting the cause of Palestine can be terribly taxing for a Jewish American.

Among the staunchest Palestine defenders are a minority of anti-Zionist ultra orthodox religious Jews who see Israel as anathema to Jewish teachings.
But it's the secularist Jews who don't necessarily identify themselves as Jewish per se, that have adopted the most uncompromising and moral position on Palestinian rights.
Agree with them or not, these courageous "universalists" identify with the Palestinians as victims of dispossession and oppression, unconditionally. They see the cause of Palestine as an extension of the struggle for freedom from colonialism and war.

Their compass is truly universal and their prism is ethical not ethnic.
But they remain a minority on the margins of the US establishment and outside the influential Jewish organisations.


Palestine, the test for the US.

President Barack Obama might lean towards the moderate Zionist J Street lobby, but the US government, including Congress, continues, rather expediently, to follow in the footsteps of the extremist pro-Israel lobby, AIPAC.

And so the US foreign policy establishment continues to swing between moderate and radical Zionism instead of fairly mediating between Palestinians and Israelis.
The result is an utter failure of two decades of peace process and a diminished US credibility in the Middle East.
Soon after failure of the Camp David negotiations in 2000, I remember reading that Palestinians, like other Arabs before them, felt that the US delegation was divided between Labourites and Likudniks, in reference to Israel's own centrist and rightist political parties.

Indeed, one keen observer went as far as noting that while the US delegations mediating the first Camp David summit between Israel and Egypt were all Christians with the exception of then US Ambassador to Israel, the later Camp David Summit with the Palestinians in 2000 featured a US delegation that was compromised of only Jewish friends of Israel with the exception of President Bill Clinton.

I personally don't know and don't look for who's a Jew and who isn't. Nor do I judge people by their religion. But the dominant presence of staunch supporters of Israel in the US establishment, Jewish or otherwise, is certainly a cause of concern. Does the name Martin Indyk ring a bell? Like his predecessor Dennis Ross, this close ally of Israel is spearheading the US day-to-day negotiations between Palestinians and Israelis.

The US government can't pretend to be a fair broker when, according to one of its former Zionist delegates, it acts as "Israel's lawyer". That's not a question of ethnicity or religion, but one of sound political judgement.

Bric à brac of Ramadhan.

It must have been some times I've not write.

Too many wanted and unwanted things in hand to handle...and meddle with.
I've been interested to write on few issues...about eight or nine perhaps...but, not finding the right time, and when the time is just nice and right, it is either too late -- like 11pm or if it is earlier, it will be me going blank and seriously don't know how to start the story.

So, like today....I got this huge nice feeling, although I slept only for three hours (we, or me...maybe some.... usually do that during the Ramadhan month)...and I feel the need to pour that 'something; out of my already congested brain.

Im no CEO of any conglomerates, nor a big investor thinking which stock to ditch and hitch...but sometimes this little brain of mind can't stop moving and grinding.

Although I told myself I need to start early to do preparation for today's iftar at my house.
Im organising an iftar for a friend who will be leaving the country for good as the the family got a better offer back home. There would be another five more families joining in...but HERE I am, punching down the keyboard!

I wanna get the satisfaction of writing something out, and wanna grasp the moment I've been longed for...few weeks without writing.

I shared one news recently in Doha where they once again, banned kids from going in the mosque due to the unnecessary disturbances they created.

Oh hail that ban!

They should do that and if any of you parents, who think that the ban will deprived your kids from learning more of islam, or cut off your child's exposure to mosque and praying -- I'll say-- please...please stop that bulls thought off your  mind.

Your kids are running everywhere during people performing the Taraweekh, laughing giggling making noise -- and when some people scolded them, you'll get all furious. But don't you use at least a little bit of your brain, and think of what other might thought of your noisy kids?

Do you  really think that by bringing them to the payers will instill the love of praying, WHEN  they are not praying and YOU are not monitoring knowingly know they are not praying?!

It doesn't have to be the mosque to teach kids to pray.
You must know that.
If you perform you daily prayers at home, Im so very sure your kids will automatically follow you as they can see what you're doing is a rituals.
Don't you think so?

It disgusted me how some muslims behaviour and thinking sometimes causes other muslims or non muslim to hate Islam overall...same goes to those lowlife who love bombing themselves during prayers in Pakistan or Afganisthan -- and they'll target the most important prayers such as Eid or Fridays.
Just so to get a bigger target. Perhaps the more muslim peers they bombed, the more credit they's earned from Allah?
Idiocy.

The same goes to Friday prayers when loads of idiots who rushed to gain credits from god by performing their weekly Friday prayers but are ignorant to other roads users and in the at same time garnered hatred and condemnation from people with emergencies whatnots.

I had once during my rebellious younger years simply hit, broke side mirrors of cars parked indiscriminately during Friday prayers and sticking an A4paper with marker ink (thank you Tenaga Nasional Berhad guards-- I adapted to your way of telling me Im an idiot parking my car indiscriminately around your compound!) telling them they are are a lousy and ignorant  SOB and feel satisfied knowing that those driver(s) will get furious because I was furious too!....
( With the hope they'll bring their brain out for the next Friday prayers to saved their side mirror or get sticky A4 on the screen)....

The Churches in Malaysia recently took the bold stand and told Malaysia prime minister Najib Razak to respect the law and  remove all anti-Christian rules and policies.

The leader of one local group representing over 90 per cent of churches in the country told Najib to remove rules and policies that have seen Malaysian Christians being the victim of bureaucracy and regulations. In a strongly-worded statement or 'kurang ajar' as some UMNO hardcore would put it, the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) asked the premier to check the growing systematic religious attacks against Christians nationwide over the past one year.

The head of the CFM also told Najib to act and stop the attempts to “murder” and “destroy” his commitment and legacy to religious moderation he is championing...hmmm....that is quite strong no doubt. And  I wonder what Rosmah's reaction to this statement.

He also had been urged to set up a non-Muslim religious affairs ministry to safeguard and protect the interests and rights of not only Christians but Buddhists, Sikhs, Taoists and Hindus in hoping there'd be maximum consultation in respect of the structure and operations of the ministry.

They are asking a lot here in my opinion.
I wonder again, what is not enough with what the government had been giving them all the while with churches, temples mushrooming here and there.
Maybe this is just an attempt of them seeking opportunity to grab Najib's attention because -- yes, again -- the General Election which is just around the corner.
And they are so sure that Najib and his government will have to fulfill the needs and wants of almost everyone and every parties in order to garner vote in order to stay on leading the prosperous country.

Without hesitations the statement also mentioned that Christian leaders were not naïve enough to assume their religious issues would be solved without the commitment and collaboration of all other ministries and organs of government pressing on the taboo matter yet again -- to lift the government ban against Christians using the word “Allah” to also refer to their god.

They are smart enough to seek this opportunity and claimed to be victimised that Christians were now resorting to raising their issues publicly because it was the most effective way for the government to take action.

In what I would say laced with hints of political sentiments the church leader also said that there is a very wide and alarming disconnect between what Najib wanted to see materialised to what is actually happening on the ground.

And amazingly all these were being said after they had lunch meeting together.
The ministry also came out with their own statement later promising 'full engagement and consultation' on Christian issues starting with the mission schools, Bible knowledge education and tax-exemption status for the creed’s organisations in what is seen as an attempt to repair relations with churches.

Bon mot Christians! ....and as usual...I'm still wondering what more do they want.
Haven't they got enough already? duhhhh......

Allah condone gay and homosexuality?

Not only does she lead prayers — a task normally reserved for men — but she is an outspoken advocate for gay, bisexual and transgender Muslims. Later this year, she plans to officiate at the Islamic wedding of a lesbian couple,

which is perfectly acceptable by her reading of the Quran.

“The community we are building is very different from most of the mosques you would walk into,” said Zonneveld, a 49-year-old Malaysian-born singer-songwriter. “We are very inclusive of all Muslims, gay Muslims, mixed-faith couples. … We also don’t segregate (the genders) when we pray, and we allow women to lead prayer. Our values are very egalitarian and we really live those values out.

You see, this lady who is also a relative of mine, had in my opinion took the most dangerous attempt in getting to be known whatnot.

See, I personally was dead shock when reading her post on facebook late tonight.
She, who had been living abroad almost all her life might look at things differently...perhaps the way the 'American' look at things, unlike others. As we all know it.

I read the thread of comments covering the news and not surprise at all reading comments from people who rejoice and support her 'battle'.
I, for one, do not understand what sort of battle she's taking and championing, and also risking, except getting damn by hardcore Islamist, and the 'un-American' brain.

And I have asked on her facebook, where in the Quran that she interpreted that Allah is A-okay with homosexuality? Or could that be just a gimmick to get news coverage?

I reserve my further comments, which, will be longer than the news itself and let you people decide whether the modern Muslim now, knows better the meaning and interpretation of the holy Quran then those elders during time after Muhammad our prophet.


Thus, to all gay and lesbian couples out there, wanna get married and be blessed? Ani would be the pope to do so....

Brunei Sultan Urges Council to Set Up Islamic Criminal Law

We have the (Syariah) court building, in its grandeur, intellectuals and
experts are also in abundance, and the country is independent, what more are we
waiting for?”

The Sultan also pointed out that he initially wanted to
see Islamic Criminal Law set up back in 1996, during his 50th birthday
celebrations. He criticized how much time has lapsed after that.

“Fifteen years has since passed, and there are still some that would
say, ‘we are not ready, we are still unable to’ and ‘there is still much to do’
and that our preparations would require another eight or five years and so on,”
stressed His Majesty.


Should Malaysia consider this too, since the goverment claim that the country is an Islamic country?
I saw his speech and thought that he is really serious on implementing the Islamic Criminal law in his country.
I'm not too sure what covers criminal law actually.
Would drinking alcohol be considered criminal or would an unmarried couple found in close proximity, be considered as criminal too. It is against Islamic law no doubt, but would it be considered criminal?

Of course as a person who lack knowledge on Islamic law, I for one cannot comment or elaborate  much on this issue, but only  want to say that I'm sure there is some reason besides being a real Islamic sovereignty behind his urge to implement this law in the Brunei.
But what tickles me was the fact that, if, lets just say the Islamic law was implemented, and obviously those commoners follow the rules and regulations abiding any law stipulated -- what happen to his own royalty, with, so many and known to be having lavish parties and whatnots going on behind the palace's close doors?

Slanderous? Nope I don't think so.
It happens even behind the close doors of Arabs royalties....but who dare to reprimand them?
On witnesses, as required by the law....who would want to be a witness when everyone was to being fed to enjoy the extravagant enjoyment?

The Sultan  also said that once Islamic Criminal Law was established, there won’t be any problems between that court and civil court, but how sure can it be.


Nonetheless, as he said it Allah (SWT) will help those people who have intention implementing His law and I'm sure it will be materialised sooner or later.

Islamic dresscode.

This thought had been with me.

It somehow agitates me to certain extend for I really don't know why.
Maybe it had to do with respect. Respect and take pride in what we do.
Or perhaps a tinge of disgruntlement towards certain group of people- namely women in carrying and portraying themselves as Muslim ladies.

Personally, I think loads of women fell victim in order to fulfil their desperation of being in style, especially wearing head covers, which is more of a style than a must in the recent decade ~~ and are actually clowning themselves especially those women whom were forced to donned cloths that covers all aspects of the 'haram' body parts by their parents or husband, yet they are actually flaunting it but in a discreet Islamic manner.
In a skin covered attire, but body hugging and skin-tight show all manifestation.

Well, in the first place, I admit that I might not be someone anyone would call a good Muslim lady because of my uncovered head and body although I had over the years and after reaching certain age in life chose something accordingly and chucked away all my skimpy dresses and skirts.

What really triggers this thought again, now, was after reading a circular distributed by my daughter's school here on the students dresscode; this after some lack of understanding or just plain dumb parents who made their kids wear something that not suitable for school day dresscode.

One of the photo show a pinafore worn by one Muslim girl. She must be from Indonesia from her feature or if from my own country, then, too bad I might not know her due to my little boundaries I set for myself.
It made me chuckled seeing her photo wearing a pinafore which is just below her knee but she also wear a white head scarf !

What was running through her parents (particularly) the mother's head seeing the daughter wearing that?
What do they or she actually want from her wearing that?
Wear a pinafore or wear a Muslimah type of pinafore?
Then why not get her an ankle long skirt, which would definitely compliment the head cover?

This is the case of a contradicting discipline that is running thru the Muslim world nowadays. It coincide with very evident Islamic realisation among the people (in Malaysia for example, in the 80s, one can hardly find a Muslim secondary school-going girl wear head scarf unlike now, majority wear them and some school in the capital 'force' their Muslim girls to wear a tudung).
Of course there is always better to know that there are higher Islamic realisation in any soceity, but when the understanding of it was not being emphasised, then what is wrong?

The religion itself or the person who admits to the religion?

If one take time learn about other cultures and in the same time observes, it is especially evident among the Egyptian young women especially, their funny 'dress code' or attire, until one actually can point out that they are from Egypt rather than say...Morocco.
This trending of discreet-show- all attire would be shared by other Muslim majority countries except the Gulf. Don't get me wrong. I am not scrutinising or down narrowing that all of them wear as such, but mostly young adults does.
In of course, not forgetting those down around South East Asian Muslim particularly the Malay and Indonesian ladies. One can obviously differentiate the style of hijab-clad women from the other.

Why I call this contradicting discipline?
Well, in my opinion, they are trying hard to instill some 'Islamic' discipline in their young child ( mind you some Indonesian and Malay don their 1 year old girl with head scarves...which is absurd, obviously...) yet in this pitiful case, the girl was 'indirectly' taught that she is allowed to show her legs BUT must cover her head in whatever case it might be. This my friend, if not being properly adviced and taught will somehow be adapted or assimilated by her until she grows up.

What is the relevance?
What is happening to the Muslim society who thought they are implementing a righteous way according to the syariah but are actually dumb in knowing the real way of covering their head and bodies?

How many young ladies out there who covers their hijab but know about the real Islamic head covers apart from the Christians and Jewish way of covering their head?

Don't they have any sense of instilling discipline by doing it across the board according to what actually required in a proper manner.

Or if you, just like me, a liberated Muslim ~ just buy skirts and shorts and gowns for your daughters and at least they won't be living a deceiving life and and might have the consequences of not knowing it until they are adult.
This a sure case of cheating oneself.
An evident of desperation to show others that they are better covered than not.

Just like some of the women I've come to know back in Malaysia who covers their head but wear bustiers under their blazer that obviously showing off her fair-skinned chest, a pretty necklace and a bit of cleavage, or covers their head, but wear skirts without any leggings (which in the first place they are not supposed to wear such mid calf skirt), or wear head covers to work but throw it away and will be bare-headed out of working time, or wear shorts doing gardening (my neighbour) when she actually wear hijab to work!....what is the point of her covering her body at work but go doing her landscape with short shorts and I definitely can make out her 'real body figure' and 'her legs colour and size' ?
Hmmmm....and Im a woman....

People can really be damn funny and complex to me.
I always fail to understand their whys.
And don't talk about the Melayu ladies who'd wear long thick gold necklace (seen once with two extra large pendants, because she's afraid people might not know she got more than one), and one personal case a lady so desperately pull out her white gold necklace (because she claimed that she's a town person just like moi) just to prove a point.

Sucks.
So, if you have the intention of instilling religious lifestyle so you can be better and stronger faith than others, please start by donning a proper attire on yourself first, then evaluate others.

Umno Ready To Meet PAS On Forging Cooperation, Says Muhyiddin


KUALA LUMPUR, July 13 (Bernama) -- Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Umno was prepared to officially or unofficially discuss with PAS on forging cooperation between the two political parties for the sake of Malay unity, as suggested by some quarters.

In welcoming the proposal, the deputy prime minister said the effort to establish cooperation between the two Malay Muslim-based political parties was not new as the matter had been voiced out before but the idea did not materialise.

"The question of unity among Malays is not something that is not good, what more in a situation now which calls for more concrete cooperation on such issues as the economy, culture and institution of rulers, besides building unity for the good of the ummah (community) and country," he said after opening the Asean Schools Games, here Tuesday.

Muhyiddin who is also Umno deputy president, said it was up to PAS leaders whether to cooperate with Umno or not.

On Monday, a Special Affairs Department think tank member Lokman Nor Adam was quoted as saying that the desire to make Malaysia a country that practised Islamic policies could be achieved if there was unity between PAS and Umno.

Asked about the fear among some quarters if there was PAS-Umno cooperation, Muhyiddin said they should not worry as the government looked after the interests of all races.

"The non-Muslim communities should not feel threatened by it as all this while, Muslim unity has helped ensure security and stability in this country. There has been no problem."

Muhyiddin also said that the government had no problem with groups wanting to form associations as long as it was in the interests of the people and nation, and not with a devious intention.

"Anyone can establish (an association)...whether it's a Chinese, Malay or Indian Perkasa," he said, referring to MCA vice-president Datuk Donald Lim's recent suggestion for a Chinese Perkasa be formed.

Don't you just love it when politicians use all excuses they can think of to gather votes.
WHO they wanna kid this time?

Mr think tank member Lokman Nor Adam is in sure need to think harder and come out with better excuses or proposals rather than saying that 'the desire to make Malaysia a country that practised Islamic policies could be achieved if there was unity between PAS and Umno'....

What is holding the current government from 'practising Islamic policies' without the coalition of the Islamic party?
The UMNO politicians and think tank whatsoever should be smart enough to know that the rakyat is not buying into this bullshits anymore and almost all of the people realised the UMNO supremacy has taken too much on people and majority is resenting them, which was evident from the last General Election result.

This cakap-cakap, I certainly take as UMNO's devious intention on hoping to gang-up and not to lose the next GE with great landslide.

Politician have no qualms politicising the religion, the needs of the people and their own mother!

I find it rather amusing that people of any race and religion will find themselves use God and faith to find an end to any accusations especially the ones that they themselves created.

Do we as a human put God, our creator, on the altar as the only way to shut people's mouth of any sort of accusations just because He can't say anything back?

I have a very classic example and one that i tapped from my own race, so no one can tell me that i made up this scenario.
Take for instance when a woman did wrong thing such as bad-mouthing someone else or making up stories just to gain support and empathy from blinded supporters, she will non-hesitantly exclaimed God's name again and again in every of her conversation trying to convince gullible lots of her mischievous deeds. The ultimate word that will be said out loud is "Ya Allah" and automatically people would say that she is being truthful. She can't simply use God name if she is not right. That she had been wronged by someone else's fault. Which eventually she will be the righteous person.....

Did Woods thought of the same too? Perhaps.
And God is nowhere to be heard of His side of stories.....

Haven't they watched or read about loads of allegations by even US citizens or other Christians about the same matter.
Does that make them anti-Christian too, when they are actually a believer?

Hisham wants stern action against ‘cow head protestors’

PETALING JAYA: Those responsible for bringing the head of a cow during the Aug 28 protest at the Selangor state secretariat building should be charged in court, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.

He ordered the police to proceed with further investigation and take stern action against those responsible.

“The police have identified the individuals involved," he said in a statement Thursday.

Affected residents had staged a protest last Friday against the Pakatan Rakyat-led Selangor government’s decision to relocate a 150-year-old temple from Section 19 to Section 23 in Shah Alam.

The protest sparked controversy when some of the participants brought along the decapitated head of a cow, then stamped and spat on it. Hindus consider the cow a sacred animal.

One of the protest leaders also threatened bloodshed if the Selangor government went ahead with its plans to relocate the temple.

Although the residents were angry with the state government and had no intention of hurting the feeling of any other race, Hishammuddin said such action could not be tolerated.

It was embarrassing and an obvious portrayals of stupidity.

I saw the video clip via you-tube and was appalled at watching those Malay men acting like barbarians, stepping on the bloody head and spitting on it.

Good God.

I cant find any word to describe their 'inhumane' actions, and would be so embarrassed if one of them are related to me.

First and foremost, these Malays are meat eater.

They eat lots of meat especially beef and need the meat very much for their delicacies 'rendang' to eat with ketupat and lemang for this coming eid celebration.

So, why are they spitting on their source of meat?

And what was in the brain of those retard when they took a newly beheaded head with blood and carry it around town in order to manifest their resentment towards something.

There are lots of other ways to manifest our anger.

Knowingly the cow is a sacred animal to the Hindus, their behaviour would not create anything better or getting their needs and wants achieved but would only create a harsher tension between the two race.

Are they trying to create another Kg Medan ethnic unrest which took place in 2001 again?

If it is so, then i would want to get my skin bleached soon, get my hair dyed red and wear coloured lenses in order not be ridiculed, or abused on the highway (i personally experienced this during those black period when the driver of a 3 tonner lorry wanted to hit my car when he saw me -- for no reason, and another incident on the Federal Highway near Subang Jaya when the driver intentionally threw small ball bearings nuts towards my car and few more cars).

I would also not like to be slashed or had my arm chopped by someone while walking just because i am a Malay. Or should i just wear a placards stating that I HATE BEING A MALAY AND NEVER PROUD BEING ONE!! sign so i wont be slashed?

I mean, why does this minister wants a stern action against those responsible when all the authorities could do during that incident was get the police to quickly arrest them for unlicensed gathering or FRU shoot water canon at them. I know they can come to the place pronto.

And for the Selangor government, especially the crooked and dirty Mentri Besar (go to fly kite will ya!!) what the heck you want to entertain a request for setting up a temple in a Malay / Muslim majority area when you obviously know that this would definitely create havoc.

Why can't you just give the yes but set it up somewhere else?

And to those Hindus, why are you people in dire need to set it up among the majority Malay dominated area? Are you people trying to test water too?

Condemning Muslim- Malays

A source of one international Christian publications based in India had this to say about Malaysia and Islam and Muslim-Malays.

Arabicization of Malay Language.

The debate over "Allah" follows an effort by the government to promote the Arabicization of the Malay language at the expense of Sanskrit and Malay terms. When a Malaysian student has to refer to a pig in an essay or test, the required term is the Arabic khinzir.

Other Malay terms such as pokok (tree) and bunga (flower), long used to refer to loan principal and interest respectively, have been expunged from school texts in favor of the Arabic kaedah (base) and faedah (benefit).

Some sources indicate that the Arabicization of the Malay language, however, has come with unintended consequences, such as making Christian mission work and translation easier. Since the Malay vocabulary has its limitations, Christians can use time-tested Arabic-derived terms to provide meaningful context.

For a long time, the only Malay Bible available in Malaysia was the Indonesian "Al Kitab," which, included the word "Allah." As Bahasa Malaysia (official name of the Malay language in Malaysia) and Bahasa Indonesia are very similar, the "Al Kitab" can be easily understood by a native speaker of Malay. As a result, the "Al Kitab" was viewed as an unwelcome missionary tool by Malaysian authorities. Its legal status was heatedly contested behind closed doors during the 1981-2003 reign of then-Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad.

Significant Christian indigenous populations in East Malaysia use Bahasa Malaysia as a language of wider communication. The Malay-language content of the Herald reportedly serves just that need: using the national language with universal terms across a multi-lingual Babel of tribal Catholic communities in East Malaysia.

Allah, Ya Rabbi!

I'm just in the moods of bashing at all sort of obtuseness today; intentionally or unintentionally done. First of all, I humbly admit that I am just another person with my own perception and opinion about several things in life, to the extend of being a wee too opinionated -- sometimes.

But this particular subject had remained fresh ever since the wake of it sometime in 2007. To me, this matter was brought over to a level by certain quarters simply trying their luck to just push the button of religious sensitiveness in a country that consist of three main races and where practicing their religious beliefs are allowed freely, although the country claimed to the world that its official religion is Islam.

So the subject that I found most suitable would be the use of the word Allah by a catholic church in Malaysia which ensued them into suing the government for banning them from the word Allah in their weekly bulletin and perhaps sermons too.
According to them fools, the banning of using the word is "the prohibition is unconstitutional and against freedom of religion".

What is a freedom of religion?
Aren't they already given that freedom in Malaysia?
This is not freedom of religion, but rather a freedom for them to misused the word "Allah" which in Arabic means 'the only God'.
And for obvious reason -- to conquer the Malay-Muslim folks by the way of confusing them (those weaklings) to believe that the Christians also pray to Allah, so lets embrace Christianity!

It is known world wide even during the prophets time that that particular word is use by the Muslim to call the God Allah. Even we say it in our prayers. We didn't say the other 98 names.
Thus why suddenly you Christians want to mock us Muslim?
Did it stated in your Bible that Jesus pray to Allah and fought to death in order to use that word to call his God?
Anyway, you Christians must admit that Jesus @ Isa is praying to one God and it is Allah, no matter how you wanna twist and turn your 10 commandments.
And he never fought to use the word ain't it?
He just said that there is one God and it is Allah.

No other missionaries before you, all those ancient period and centuries and decades, who are original Christians by hereditary had asked to name your Christian God in their sermon as "Allah".
And why now suddenly, you Christians, whom mostly in Malaysia are of ethnic Chinese (with Buddhist as your original centuries old belief) or Indian and other pagan whom later seek God in Christianity wanted so hard to name your god Allah?

Do you think t is wrong for me to condemn your religion because you are trying to do the same to mine?
It is my right to condemn you people who support this because there are no other better intentions that you want this to materialised except to confuse and take advantage of the weak believers!

I bet the big guy of Christians missionaries knows 60% of the Malaysian population comprises of Muslim, thus taking this dumb effort trying to tap the market in order to enable them (the missionaries) better credits so they can admit themselves to heaven!

A church in Sabah state in eastern Malaysia has separately also sued the government for preventing it from using the word "Allah" in its Malay-language literature. The church says the ban violates the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution.
I wonder whether the Constitution does mention about the use of name of god too.

But perhaps as people get smarter each day and generations, all these old religions cannot be applicable to the modern free thinking people worldwide, especially in the Hollywood where fame and fortune made one seeking more than themselves.

Kabbalah, which attracts hoards of Hollywood artists is believed to be promoting physical welfare and wellness, because the 'divine system of wisdom' is primarily based on the principle that the 'creator wants you to have everything you want', that is, money, good relationships, love and happiness.
What more could one man ask from his petty existence on earth?

Among other student devotees of this religion are Victoria Beckham, Winona Ryder, Courtney Love, Michael Jackson, Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore and Britney Spears to name a few. All of them were spotted wearing the red string bracelet around their wrists, to guard off 'the evil eye'....(very familiar among the Egyptians too - this evil eye thingy!)

Meanwhile, Scientologists, another glamorous religion believe in aliens and UFOs.

Some of this religion aims "a civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights." Yes, it s true. Yes, all religion asks of the same thing, BUT the only thing that tarnishes the other religion is their believers. This can be witnessed with self-bombing in Jakarta or somewhere in Pakistan and India.

It is known that the application of Scientology technology, developed by one L. Ron Hubbard, can resolve the major social issues people faced in the 21st Century, including drugs, illiteracy, the breakdown of moral standards and consequent soaring crime rates.

Why do these people need to believe in aliens and UFOs in the first place?
My answer is only one.
Due to their glamorous life (actor and actress) and due to being overly idolised by their fans, these actor or actresses eventually will want something different and more interesting than believing in just -- God.

There are also claims that says this religion is nothing but a big sham invented to brainwash the believers and to take control over their money and estates. Tom Cruise, who is a believer, enjoys playing the priest in his own personal Scientological church.
And, yes, if such a poor ideology can help you become one of the world's most influential men, why not join the "fastest growing religious movement on earth"?.

I came across an article while reading some religous related book.
It was about 'ujub', an arabic word which means feeling and beleiveing highly of oneself and that he is better than anyone else.


Since we are constantly have to "keep abreast" willing or unwillingly with our surrounding cum neighbourhood, I reckon this kind of feeling exist within us humankind.
The difference would only be whether it will constantly live inside of us, or some that might come and go according to time and situations.

Nevertheless, i must say that there are people that God created to not be able to feel this unwanted feeling or thought at all. To me these lot of people are those that He favoured the most. Why am i saying so? Well simply because that thought or feeling are of a no good start of nothing.
A sort of unhealthy emotional fight to feel that one are better off than anyone else.
In another word i think people who have this kind of thought in their heart are those that are not quite well mentally.

At first i thought this word might have the same meaning as the other word 'riak' or obnoxiously feeling great about whatever one does or posseses. Nope, it differs a bit from that.

This is more of a feeling that they look or dressed better than anyone else.

The thought and believe that he is smarter than the rest of the guys in his community or in his office department.

These people will be blinded by their believe that they cant see the reality of what they are admitting.

I have known a few of this type of people.
You would not know one until you have meet them on the third or fouth encounter.
They will be the one that love to blabber about all good things in life whether they taste it all or otherwise, making believe that people are always in competition with them; either to compete their household stuff, vehicles or up to what they're wearing.
They will come to an extend of making believe something that had never happen to them into a reality.
When this type of people are corrected on their wrongst, they wont like it at all and will always find a reason to defend their belief.

This is the kind of unhealthy competition that will clouded we human when we have too much to want worldly. Too much wants will later create too much of showing off and one will of course leads to the other needless to say.

FATWA Council Bans Yoga for Muslims

No yoga for Muslims in Perak

IPOH: Muslims in Perak will be barred from practising yoga following the National Fatwa Council’s edict that the practice is haram (prohibited).
Perak Religious Department director Datuk Jamry Sury said the state would abide by the decision of the council to disallow Muslims from practising yoga.

“We will be meeting on Dec 9 to make a formal announcement on the matter,” said Jamry who is also Perak Malay Customs and Religious Council secretary.
However, the department has not identified any Muslim in Perak who practises yoga, he said yesterday.

In Petaling Jaya, Malaysia Hindu Sangam president Datuk A. Vaithilingam said the council must respect the sensitivities and feelings of people of other religions in Malaysia while giving guidance to Muslims.
“Many Hindus have been deeply disturbed by the council’s announcement. To declare this ancient practice haram and say that it can ‘corrupt’ a person is very hurtful and demeaning,” he said in a statement yesterday.

The council on Saturday issued an edict banning Muslims from practising yoga on the grounds that it was inappropriate for Muslims as it involved chants and acts of worship of the god of another religion.--STARONLINE

PUTRAJAYA 22 Nov. — Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan hari ini mengharamkan umat Islam mengamalkan yoga secara sistematik, yang melibatkan unsur-unsur fizikal dan spiritual kerana ia bertentangan dengan syariat Islam.

Pengerusinya Datuk Dr Abdul Shukor Husin bagaimanapun berkata, amalan fizikal iaitu senaman dalam yoga, tanpa adanya unsur-unsur mentera dan pemujaan pada zahirnya tidak menjadi kesalahan.
Namun, katanya, ia tidak digalakkan kerana dikhuatiri boleh menghakis akidah seseorang Muslim memandangkan ia merupakan salah satu komponen daripada keseluruhan amalan yang diharamkan itu.“Amalan yoga yang berasal dari masyarakat Hindu mempunyai tiga peringkat, peringkat pertama adalah fizikal iaitu senaman, peringkat kedua adalah mentera dan pemujaan bagi mendapatkan ketenangan dan peringkat ketiga adalah penyatuan diri dengan tuhan.
“Oleh itu ahli muzakarah bersetuju memutuskan bahawa apa jua jenis atau bentuk amalan yang mengandungi unsur-unsur tersebut adalah dilarang dan bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam,” katanya kepada pemberita di sini hari ini.

Abdul Shukor berkata perkara itu diputuskan dalam persidangan Anggota Majlis Muzakarah Fatwa Kebangsaan ke-83 yang bersidang 22-24 Okt lalu di Kota Bharu, Kelantan, dan akan dipanjangkan kepada majlis-majlis agama negeri untuk diwartakan.
Selain Malaysia, amalan yoga telahpun diharamkan di Singapura dan Mesir, katanya.
Abdul Shukor berkata, pada peringkat ini, program kesedaran mengenai amalan itu akan diperluaskan ke seluruh negara melalui Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim).
Beliau turut menasihatkan masyarakat Islam supaya berhati-hati dan berwaspada dengan perkara-perkara yang boleh memesongkan akidah, serta perlu mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai sesuatu amalan sebelum melakukannya.

Beliau berkata terdapat banyak amalan lain dalam Islam yang boleh dilakukan bagi menjaga kesihatan dan mendapatkan ketenangan termasuk mengamalkan sembahyang dan berzikir.
Yoga merupakan satu pakej senaman yang telah diamalkan sejak 3,000 tahun sebelum Masihi dan dikatakan boleh melambatkan penuaan, mengurangkan risiko kencing manis, lelah dan penyakit jantung.

This is what these typical arse in Malaysia's government (ministries) would think of the Melayu in general; easily manipulated and influenced, which later would result to them becoming a murtad or kafir.
Perhaps their own families or relatives are those of whom would be easily influenced;hence it is natural that they themselves would think like that and that it is dangerous to be associated or doing some exercise which rooted from another belief or religion.

What would they think of tai-chi? Or perhaps one of the quite well known Chinese traditional medicinal practice called ; Chi-qong by one Malay doctor?

It makes me wonder whether dont these dumbhead conduct thorough research before throwing out this sorta decree to the public, i.e. the "easily' influenced Muslim in Malaysia. In other words; the Melayus?

The actual scenario in Malaysia, in particular the Klang Valley is; these yoga houses; they aren't the one that conduct those ritual yoga. Most of them are yoga classes conducted sometimes by non-Hindu instructors, at well known fitness centres or a private place in some exxlusive area such as Sri Hartamas or Petaling Jaya.
It is more of a 'lifestyle' for the middle high income and yuppies.
Fitness centres used to be the lifestyle and by having a member of one fitness house, that would make you doing the 'IN' thing. And these things are only understood by the non-kampung folks so to say.

There was one place in the Subang Jaya area where they published an advertisement on yoga classes. It was perhaps seven years back and me and my sister went there but after sitting down for half an hour to enquire about their facilities and practises; we declined.

The reasons being;
1) The classes conducted by one yogi person
2) No fees required but we need to contribute to their some sort of spritual funds on a monthly basis.
3) They gave us the idea that this particular place conduct spiritual tpye of yoga.

What did we do?
We did not go for it.
Why?
Because perhaps we are smarter and not easily influenced Muslims aka Melayu, unlike those who came out with the fatwa.

This stupid fatwa made me reflect back to many years before when there was a little bit of hu-ha in the print media in regards to the action taken by Information Ministry of Malaysia in banning one movie/documentary about Tibetan monks and their faith. It was supposed to be aired for the Wesak day. The reason for the ban was;
WHATELSE, if not the same bloody reason they would always use; deminishing the akidah of Muslims (in Malaysia). I mean, hell, why cant we, the Muslim learn about some other faith which contradicting to the government's move; that allows a day off for certain states in Malaysia.
If the government are willing enough to give a day off for those who celebrates the Wesak day; then why cant these people watch on tv the root of their faith.
What is wrong about learning.
There are non Muslim in universities around the world that do Islamic studies.
It doesnt make them a 'murtad' to their won faith.

I myself have been into a church for their morning mass, had been to the Siamese temple in Petaling Jaya and that does not make me wanna change my name to Lina Joy!!!
I rather lose the race im carrying now, than losing my religion.
I might not be your next door typical Melayu girl because i am not and i am not proud to be one.
What more with those skumbags keep coming out with such fatwas.

THE DEATH OF A MUSLIM WOMAN

In the past four months, six Muslim women living in Berlin have been brutally murdered by family members. Their crime? Trying to break free and live Western lifestyles. Within their communities, the killers are revered as heroes for preserving their family dignity. How can such a horrific and shockingly archaic practice be flourishing in the heart of Europe? The deaths have sparked momentary outrage, but will they change the grim reality for Muslim women?

Hatin Surucu just wanted to live her own life.

Instead, she became Berlin's latest victim of honor killings. Her Turkish Muslim brothers allegedly gunned her down for adopting Western ways.
The shots came from nowhere and within minutes the young Turkish mother standing at the Berlin bus stop was dead.


A telephone call from a relative had brought her to this cold, unforgiving place. She thought she would only be gone for a few minutes and wore a light jacket in the freezing February wind. She had left her five-year-old son asleep in his bed. He awoke looking for his mother, who, like many Turkish women in Germany, harbored a secret life of fear, courage and, ultimately, grief. Now her little boy has his own tragedy to bear: His mother, Hatin Surucu, was not the victim of random violence, but likely died at the hands of her own family in what is known as an "honor killing."

Hatin's crime, it appears, was the desire to lead a normal life in her family's adopted land. The vivacious 23-year-old beauty, who was raised in Berlin, divorced the Turkish cousin she was forced to marry at age 16. She also discarded her Islamic head scarf, enrolled in a technical school where she was training to become an electrician and began dating German men. For her family, such behavior represented the ultimate shame -- the embrace of "corrupt" Western ways.


Days after the crime, police arrested her three brothers, ages 25, 24 and 18. The youngest of the three allegedly bragged to his girlfriend about the Feb. 7 killing. At her funeral, Hakin's Turkish-Kurdish parents draped their only daughter's casket in verses from the Koran and buried her according to Muslim tradition. Absent of course, were the brothers, who were in jail.
The crime might be easier to digest if it had been an archaic anomaly, but five other Muslim women have been murdered in Berlin during the past four months by their husbands or partners for besmirching the family's Muslim honor.


Two of them were stabbed to death in front of their young children, one was shot, one strangled and a fifth drowned. It seems hard to fathom, but in the middle of democratic Western Europe -- in Germany, a nation where pacifism is almost a universal mantra -- murderous macho patriotism not only exists but also appears to be thriving. It may even be Germany's liberalism -- and its post World War II fear of criticizing minority cultures -- that has encouraged ultra-religious families to settle here.


The problem is that much of this insular and ultra-religious world is out of public view, often hidden in inner-city apartments where the most influential links to the outside world are satellite dishes that receive Turkish and Arabic television and the local mosque. Tens of thousands of Turkish women live behind these walls of silence, in homes run by husbands many met on their wedding day and ruled by the ever-present verses of the Koran. In these families, loyalty and honor are elevated virtues and women are treated little better than slaves, unseen by society and often unnoticed or ignored by their German neighbors.


To get what they want, these women have to run. They have to change their names, their passports, even their hair color and break with the families they often love, but simply can no longer obey.

Turkish women who have fled their husbands and violent marriages and live in a shelter take a stroll in Munich's Olympic Park. The women, activists say, live in constant fear that their husbands or families will find them and abuse or kill them.Precise statistics on how many women die every year in such honor killings are hard to come by, as many crimes are never reported, said Myria Boehmecke of the Tuebingen-based women's group Terre des Femmes which, among other things, tries to protect Muslim girls and women from oppressive families.


The Turkish women's organization Papatya has documented 40 instances of honor killings in Germany since 1996. Examples include a Darmstadt girl whose two brothers pummelled her to death with a hockey stick in April 2004 after they learned she had slept with her boyfriend. In Augsburg in April, a man stabbed his wife and 7-year-old daughter because the wife was having an affair. In December 2003, a Tuebingen father strangled his 16-year-old daughter and threw her body into a lake because she had a boyfriend. Bullets, knives, even axes and gasoline are the weapons of choice.


The crime list compiled by Papatya is an exercise in horror. And the sad part, said Boehmecke, is that it is far from complete. "We'll never really know how many victims there are. Too often these crimes go unreported."
In many cases, fathers -- and sometimes even mothers -- single out their youngest son to do the killing, Boehmecke said, "because they know minors will get lighter sentences from German judges." In some cases, these boys are revered by their community and fellow inmates as "honor heroes" -- a dementedly skewed status they carry with them for the rest of their lives. Currently, six boys are serving time in Berlin's juvenile prison for honor killings. "In a way, these boys are victims, too," she said. Sometimes they are forced to kill their favorite sister.

I thank God Almighty for having me born as a Muslim not in these Arabs or some Muslim countries such as Jordan or Turkey.


I recently read yet another news about how a young woman was killed when she tried to escape from her family prostitution ring; she was made a prostitute. Like in some other similiar cases where the women tries to seek justice or freedom for themselves, she will be killed by her own flesh and blood. And the ones that will do the honour must be their own brother. All in the name of family honour and a form of 'cleansing'.


As usual, like in all man dominated countries, this young woman's brother was caught. The most disheartening yet true part is the sentence behind bars are for mere two years!

I you ask me, i would say life as a woman in these countries is very stifling and subservient. Like known fact, man have egos. But when the egos got too big for their head, plus with some 'known' attitude especially from certain clans, my only word to these lots are 'total male chauvanist pig'. These are the action that gave the religion bad reputations. These are also the people that think they are above women in everything except for bearing children and mending the house.
And amazingly although the human has been evolved and now living in this milleneium, the governments of these countries usually will not put emphasis on well being of their.


And Saudi Arabia is still a joke to me.

It show how shallow and silly their thinking is that women are created probably just to fulfill their sexual needs and bear offsprings besides staying at home to do nothing at all. What got their brain's blocked when they adapted the law against women driver since i dont know when.

There was a recent case where the daughter of a family drove the father and brother to the hospital when their house went ablaze. According to her statement to the press, the ER staff were stunned to see a woman coming out from the driver's seat.
The father was the one who thought her to drive in their own compound.
Well, at least the father has got more brains than some decision maker.
And do the ruler of the country thought that every one of them are as rich as him and can afford a driver.
Imagine if the household got more and three working and studying women with school going kids.....hhhmmmmmm......

It was also said that single working woman or student needed to fork-out around eight hundred to 1500 Riyals per month to pay driver to drive them around. Well, i know that this is a country i would not want to resides in giving all very strict restrictions against women. I would feel not second class but life is like a caged bird.

Now, it makes me wonder wouldn't these people are all Muslims?
Why did the Prophet Muhammad (saw) married a woman trader when he was one of her worker in his early years? It obviously shows that woman are allowed to do other things than being the man's pride and possession.

What would it take for their women to be living life to the fullest......

Im in the midst of reading this book and it really helps me to understand further this lot of people and their manipulations into getting to where they are right now.

I remember i was told by an Arab friend that these people (in Isreal) actually plant one type of tree believed to of help for them when the time came ie prior to the D-day, if im not mistaken during one Imam appearence on earth to help the halpless Muslims of the world.

I should double check on that subject soon ...
