Price of RON 95 at RM1.80 from Tuesday

KUALA LUMPUR: The newly introduced RON 95 fuel is now priced at RM1.80 - five sen higher than the previous RM1.75.
Meanwhile, RON 97 is upgraded as a premium product and has gone up to RM2.05 from RM1.80.
Domestic Trade, Cooperative and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the new prices were decided based on the current method of Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
(what current method of pricing? What type of method you people used when you people decided to hike and lowering it couple of years back?)
“Although the price is now 5 sen higher, the Government is still subsidising 33.81 sen per litre (of RON 95) which is equivalent to RM304mil monthly,” he told reporters after the launch of Primax 95 by Petronas here on Monday.
(i guess this is the best time to let jack came out of his box ain't it Ismail Sabri? And it must be the BEST ever present to the people of Malaysia for the Merdeka Day celebration!)
Currently, the Government is subsidising RON 97 by 42.72 sen per litre.
(So?...it is still expensive than few neighbouring countries oil prices if calculated one to one, furthermore they don't even have they own oil)
The cost for RON 95 went up 102% from USD$ 40.75 per barrel to USD$ 82.30 in December last year and August respectively.
“If there is any changes in the global prices, we would revise it accordingly. It is up to the Economic Council to decide.
(His trying to tell that it is not his decision for the increase...)
“RON 95 also adheres to the EURO2M specification where it can lessen pollution,” said Ismail Sabri, adding that consumers would get quality petroleum at a subsidised price.
With the new pricing, Ismail Sabri added that RON 92 was phased out from the market as the usage was only 5% from total petrol sale in the country.
In April last year, then Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Samad said the Government was considering the use of petrol with higher research octane number (RON) to reduce fuel subsidies without hurting the lower-and-medium income groups.
A higher octane number means higher resistance to engine “knocking”. “Knocking” could possibly damage the engine over time.
(People of Malaysia -- be rest assured, we, the government decided to assist you all during this economic slowdown and hard time by increasing the oil prices so your car engines wont give way too soon and you wont have to fork out so much of money repairing your cars)....does it work that way?.....
Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia president Datuk Hashim Othman said petrol stations could easily recalibrate their pumps to adjust to the new price.

“With technology, all you need to do is push some buttons. It is almost automatic in most stations now, except for a few in the rural areas which are still using the manual system,” he told The Star.

He added that petrol dealers would make a slight gain with the price increase as they had bought their current stock at the old price.

Trouble Sleeping?
Just Breathe....

If your mind is racing and you are having difficulty falling asleep, a few minutes of simple but effective breathing exercises can help calm your nervous system on a chemical level and lead to greater success in hitting the sack.
The awareness and control of breath has been a central component of yoga, martial arts and Taoism for thousands of years. There are dozens of different methods and exercises you can explore through a good teacher or book.
The practice of breath control in yoga is called pranayama. I'll detail a simple pranayama exercise here that is particularly effective for falling asleep called alternate nostril breathing (that's "nadi shodana" for the Sanskrit posse out there).
Alternate nostril breathing is a great way to clear obstructed nostrils, balance the yin and yang energy of the body and focusing the busy mind on the present for a deliberate and calming exercise.
When our nostrils are unobstructed, we involuntarily alternate breathing through one or the other about every two hours. Breathing through your right nostril stimulates the left side of the brain (intellectual, analytical, rational thought) and prepares the body for physical action (yang energy).
Breathing through your left nostril stimulates the right side of the brain (creative, emotional thought) and prepares the body for passive mental activity (yin energy). If both nostrils are not clear, breathing will become imbalanced and so will the energy in your body.
When you are feeling restless at bedtime, head outside (weather permitting obviously, but even in wintertime, you can certainly spend a couple minutes on a balcony or porch in brisk air), sit in a comfortable chair and begin the exercise. You will likely have a really hard time focusing your mind on only the breathing exercise. Establish a rule that whenever your mind wanders away from the breathing exercise to other random thoughts, you have to start over. With practice, you'll develop the esteemed ability to relax and center -- not just to calm the mind for bed but any time the stresses of life are closing in.
Alternate nostril breathing is performed as follows: Take one hand up to your face for blocking nostrils. For example, your right thumb will close off your right nostril while your right index or middle finger will close off your left nostril. Block off the right nostril and inhale fully (notice how your inhale and exhale will be slower since you are only using one nostril).
Pause at the completion of your inhale and switch nostrils by using your finger to block the left nostril and releasing your thumb from the right nostril. Exhale through the right nostril, inhale through the right nostril, then pause and switch to exhale through the left nostril. Thus, you switch nostrils in the middle of the breath cycle.
To complete a cycle of 10 breaths, count each inhale/exhale as one. After your complete your breathing session, you can return to bed with a calm brain and hopefully induce a good night's sleep.

One that will add up to many other remedies i have up my sleeves.
This, of course i will definitely try soon to counter my everlasting sleeping problems that had been with me ever since I'm a teenager.
What i know is -- i felt utterly envious of my SO who can just doze off easily once he put his head on the pillow thus he can't comprehend why can't i just sleep although i had been running up and about or after a very tiring day.
All i know is -- it's not my body or due to high metabolic rate that I'm having.
It is more of my head is running a marathon on some nights and a cross country on others. Yes, i do have nights where i can sleep easily -- hmmmm...for example, after a long flight, or the earliest like 12 am ( i can count with my fingers...) and ....and....after i didn't sleep the whole night and day!!..
Do that count?
It is an exasperating situation.
It is not doing good to my body.
It is not doing good to my skin no matter how many types of creams from low to high end that i use.
It is not doing good to the eyes....oh gosh.....The eyes! The eye-bags, the raccoon or panda eyes....
Whatever it is, I'm longing for the beauty sleep....and hope it will come to visit me soon...just for couple of days, in which i will be so appreciative cause i know it wont last that long anyway.

Good memoirs...but as far as i can judge, the country is going backward instead of forward.
Thus the old wine saying shall not be applicable to Malaysia and its current leaders after Mahathir Mohammed.
Anyway.... Merdeka!Merdeka!Merdeka!
May the rakyat be more mature in selecting their leaders to come. Hopefully.

Poor Penans
Group reaches grateful Penans after rough, three-day journey
LONG TANYIT: After three days of hard work, a team of people managed to bring more than 10 tonnes of food to some 1,500 Penans who are facing acute food shortages in the Kapit Division.
About 10,000kg of rice and other essential foodstuff such as canned food, milk powder, sugar and salt arrived here and the nearby Long Lidem, Long Kajang and Long Abit.
These isolated settlements are more than 12 hours drive along a timber road from Bintulu town.
The food was delivered using a heavy-duty timber truck and a convoy of six four-wheel drives. The team was greeted with smiles, hugs and handshakes.
Long Tanyit chief Salu Ugat said he was grateful to God for answering the people’s prayers.
“Food shortages here are serious. It has happened several times this year already. We waited weeks for this food supply,’’ he said.
Long Lidem chief Naran Pua said the people were surprised that the team managed to make the journey.
“We thought we are being attacked when we suddenly saw the lorry and the 4WDs coming. This is the first time we are getting so much food. We have been facing food problems for six years,” he said.
The Miri Catholic Church, which is coordinating the relief aid collection, had two weeks ago received appeals for aid, saying the Penans had run out of rice and other food items.
Twelve volunteers from the Malaysian Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, a non-governmental disaster and relief aid organisation, flew in from Kuala Lumpur after reading about the Penans’ plight.
The team, led by volunteer Captain K. Balasupramaniam, arrived in Bintulu on Wednesday and travelled to the Sungai Asap Resettlement Scheme in Bakun.
He met up with Reverend Father Sylvester Ding, who is coordinating the deployment of the food aid, and a village head Penghulu Saging Bit.
From Bakun, the team sought the help of a timber firm to help send 1,600 bags of rice and hundreds of boxes of dry food. The journey along the timber roads was difficult. The team faced problems like vehicle breakdown, bad weather and delays resulting from permit requirements to enter a logging concession area.
The team will now focus on bringing food supply to the Lusong Laku Penan settlement, SK Lusong Laku and the teachers living there.
The Penans in the Sarawak interior have been cut off from the outside world after a timber giant dismantled an iron bridge across the Sungai Linau because the area was going to be flooded for the Bakun Dam.
It is learnt that the company had placed several pieces of logs across the river for the people in Lusong Laku to use as a temporary bridge. -- Star

If it is true that these people are deprived of basic necessity, then the Najib government better be ready to face all sort of condemnation of the western world soon.
I mean, yeah, when it come international aides, Malaysia will be running hoping to reach the first line in offering helps to any disaster strucked countries.
But when it come to their own people -- they just adapt the 'tidak apa' attitude.
How?

Condemning Muslim- Malays

This erosion in Malay-Islam dominance has led to political bankruptcy, as evidenced by disastrous results for the ruling coalition during March 2008 general elections.
Given these political realities, Malay elites believe they can ill afford to be seen as soft on minority "encroachment," and observers say this need to ingratiate Islamists lies at the root of the tussle over non-Muslim use of the word "Allah."
Arabicization of Malay Language.
The debate over "Allah" follows an effort by the government to promote the Arabicization of the Malay language at the expense of Sanskrit and Malay terms. When a Malaysian student has to refer to a pig in an essay or test, the required term is the Arabic khinzir.
Other Malay terms such as pokok (tree) and bunga (flower), long used to refer to loan principal and interest respectively, have been expunged from school texts in favor of the Arabic kaedah (base) and faedah (benefit).
Some sources indicate that the Arabicization of the Malay language, however, has come with unintended consequences, such as making Christian mission work and translation easier. Since the Malay vocabulary has its limitations, Christians can use time-tested Arabic-derived terms to provide meaningful context.
For a long time, the only Malay Bible available in Malaysia was the Indonesian "Al Kitab," which, included the word "Allah." As Bahasa Malaysia (official name of the Malay language in Malaysia) and Bahasa Indonesia are very similar, the "Al Kitab" can be easily understood by a native speaker of Malay. As a result, the "Al Kitab" was viewed as an unwelcome missionary tool by Malaysian authorities. Its legal status was heatedly contested behind closed doors during the 1981-2003 reign of then-Prime Minister Mahathir bin Mohamad.
Significant Christian indigenous populations in East Malaysia use Bahasa Malaysia as a language of wider communication. The Malay-language content of the Herald reportedly serves just that need: using the national language with universal terms across a multi-lingual Babel of tribal Catholic communities in East Malaysia.

Fresher Air
This, i got out of some reading regarding improving indoor air quality.
Well, not that your truly is into some sort of new realisation, rather it is some questions i had lingering in my head and i guess it is affecting my daily life more now since im spending time at home with the kid due to the current situation, weather reasons, and some other 'excuses'.....hehehe....
While we might think that indoor air is far better than the outside air, think again.One researcher carried out ‘off-gassing experiments’ on everyday products such as carpets, plastic toys and electric shavers to analyse their toxic gaseous emissions.
Some of the worst offenders include vinyl wallpaper and flooring, laser printers and photocopy machines (the toner dust can be easily inhaled) of course this is applicable in the office, glues, paints and household appliances such as TVs and washing machines.
His verdict? ‘Indoor air is much worse than outdoor air,’ he says. ‘Inside, you have chemicals in a sealed building.
Another report by a BRE specialist in indoor air quality, says indoor concentrations of VOCs are typically 10 times higher than outdoors. To make matters worse, the gases get trapped indoors. Thanks to the airtight and energy efficient nature of many modern buildings, there is less ventilation in the form of drafts. Also trapped can be chemical contaminants from the outside (such as pollutants from exhaust fumes), which can seep through windows or poorly located air intake vents.
At worst, high levels of contamination can cause ‘sick-building syndrome’. Headaches, dizziness, disorientation, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, eye, nose and throat irritations are all symptoms. Newly built or remodelled buildings, in particular, tend to off-gas a higher level of chemicals than older ones.
Thus these are some of the things that we can do.....
•Freshen the air - naturally
Unless you live next to the M25, the cheapest and most effective way to allow fresh air in and toxic air out is to open a window. Ban air ‘fresheners’, a source of VOCs, and use natural odour-eaters such as a bowl of baking soda or naturally fragranced alternatives (see www.natural-house.co.uk). Avoid using perfumes, deodorants or products containing ‘parfum’, a word which hides the identities of as many as 100 potentially persistent or allergenic chemicals.
•Clear out cleaning chemicals
Recent studies have linked cleaning sprays with a new onset of asthma in adults and linked cleaning products, when used by pregnant women, to persistent wheezing in their offspring in early childhood. Use a range based on natural plant ingredients or experiment with simple cleaning solutions made from lemons, vinegar and baking soda.
•Breathable particles?
Dust is just dust, right? Wrong. A 2002 Greenpeace analysis of house-dust samples vacuumed from 100 UK homes showed that hazardous chemicals such as phthalates, brominated flame retardants, alkylphenols and organotins were widespread contaminants. Regular cleaning can help keep levels of breathable particles down along with dust mites, pollen and other allergy-causing agents. Keep humidity to a minimum to discourage the growth of mould which has the potential to cause allergic reactions when inhaled.
•Plant power
Living, green plants can remove toxic chemicals including formaldehyde, benzene and carbon monoxide from the air, according to a two-year study by NASA scientists. The following plants are particularly effective: areca palm, lady palm, rubber plant, dragon plant, English ivy, peace lily, gerbera daisy, snake plant, spider plant, weeping fig.
•Contaminated carpet
Carpets act as a reservoir for dust, which leads to a build-up of dust-mite allergen, an important trigger for asthma and other allergies. They also trap toxic pollutants. A 2001 Greenpeace UK report, ‘Poisons Underfoot’, found that new carpets contain significant levels of hormone-disrupting, brominated flame retardant BDE-209, the pesticides permethrin and tributyltin (an immune- and reproductive-system toxin) and formaldehyde. Vinyl (PVC) floors, made with phthalates, a hormone-disrupting chemical also linked to asthma and allergies in children, are no better. As a general rule, choose natural fibre carpets and rugs made from organic wool or cotton, coir or jute, instead of synthetic carpets (typically made of nylon or polyester), though check they haven’t been treated with unnecessary chemicals or glues (see www.healthyflooring.org for suppliers). FSC-certified wood flooring is another option. If you do have a carpet, avoid toxic carpet cleaners – use a steam cleaner instead. Take off your shoes to keep dirt and bacteria from the streets at bay.
•What not to paint with
Conventional paints can include acrylic, polyurethanes, PVC and VOCs. When they off-gas, the fumes are likely to include the emissions from VOC solvents. Choose natural and non-toxic water-based or clay-based paints instead. Check that it is ‘solvent-free’.
•Electronics
Ban electrical appliances from the bedroom. A computer, for instance, contains toxic gases, toxic metals (such as cadmium, lead and mercury), acids, plastics, chlorinated and brominated substances. The dust from some printer toner cartridges has been found to contain harmful substances such as nickel and mercury. Greenpeace has an online ‘Guide to Greener Electronics’ which ranks the top manufacturers.
•Protect babies and children
Expecting a child? Go easy when creating a nursery. Often people paint walls and put in new carpets and curtains – so when the baby arrives it ends up in a room full of off-gassing. Myriad Toys (www.myriadonline.co.uk) sells handcrafted natural wooden toys in waterbased colours, finished with natural oil blends.
•Bedding
Cut down on off-gassing in the bedroom – Greenfibres (www.greenfibres.com) sells chemical-free natural latex, coir and wool mattresses and organic cotton bedding. See www.soilassociation.org/textiles for more suppliers.

•Contaminated carpet
Carpets act as a reservoir for dust, which leads to a build-up of dust-mite allergen, an important trigger for asthma and other allergies. They also trap toxic pollutants. A 2001 Greenpeace UK report, ‘Poisons Underfoot’, found that new carpets contain significant levels of hormone-disrupting, brominated flame retardant BDE-209, the pesticides permethrin and tributyltin (an immune- and reproductive-system toxin) and formaldehyde. Allah, Ya Rabbi!
I'm just in the moods of bashing at all sort of obtuseness today; intentionally or unintentionally done. First of all, I humbly admit that I am just another person with my own perception and opinion about several things in life, to the extend of being a wee too opinionated -- sometimes.
But this particular subject had remained fresh ever since the wake of it sometime in 2007. To me, this matter was brought over to a level by certain quarters simply trying their luck to just push the button of religious sensitiveness in a country that consist of three main races and where practicing their religious beliefs are allowed freely, although the country claimed to the world that its official religion is Islam.
So the subject that I found most suitable would be the use of the word Allah by a catholic church in Malaysia which ensued them into suing the government for banning them from the word Allah in their weekly bulletin and perhaps sermons too.
According to them fools, the banning of using the word is "the prohibition is unconstitutional and against freedom of religion".
What is a freedom of religion?
Aren't they already given that freedom in Malaysia?
This is not freedom of religion, but rather a freedom for them to misused the word "Allah" which in Arabic means 'the only God'.
And for obvious reason -- to conquer the Malay-Muslim folks by the way of confusing them (those weaklings) to believe that the Christians also pray to Allah, so lets embrace Christianity!
It is known world wide even during the prophets time that that particular word is use by the Muslim to call the God Allah. Even we say it in our prayers. We didn't say the other 98 names.
Thus why suddenly you Christians want to mock us Muslim?
Did it stated in your Bible that Jesus pray to Allah and fought to death in order to use that word to call his God?
Anyway, you Christians must admit that Jesus @ Isa is praying to one God and it is Allah, no matter how you wanna twist and turn your 10 commandments.
And he never fought to use the word ain't it?
He just said that there is one God and it is Allah.
No other missionaries before you, all those ancient period and centuries and decades, who are original Christians by hereditary had asked to name your Christian God in their sermon as "Allah".
And why now suddenly, you Christians, whom mostly in Malaysia are of ethnic Chinese (with Buddhist as your original centuries old belief) or Indian and other pagan whom later seek God in Christianity wanted so hard to name your god Allah?
Do you think t is wrong for me to condemn your religion because you are trying to do the same to mine?
It is my right to condemn you people who support this because there are no other better intentions that you want this to materialised except to confuse and take advantage of the weak believers!
I bet the big guy of Christians missionaries knows 60% of the Malaysian population comprises of Muslim, thus taking this dumb effort trying to tap the market in order to enable them (the missionaries) better credits so they can admit themselves to heaven!

He must be listening to some group of devilish advisers, and persistently want to make this matter as a big issue, in order to gain international support.
The basic of Christianity is Jesus.
You pray and hailed him GREATER than God himself!
You pray for your Holy Spirits and all.
So why bother about changing God's name, whom you Christian always refer to as just -- god?
That Andrew guy also reiterated the paper's stance that Malay-speaking Christians have long used the word, which has roots in Arabic and predates Islam.
Is it not Malay- speaking Christians actually bimbo....it is the Malay converts.

A church in Sabah state in eastern Malaysia has separately also sued the government for preventing it from using the word "Allah" in its Malay-language literature. The church says the ban violates the freedom of religion guaranteed by the Constitution.
I wonder whether the Constitution does mention about the use of name of god too.
This confusion created to satisfy the lust to conquer the world's other religion, had somehow succeeded after the weak government of Malaysia in February this year had succumbed YET AGAIN to the need of others into condemning the 'official religion' that seems to be not so special anymore in Malaysia, by allowing the catholic church to use the word Allah " as long as they specify the material is not for Muslims"....hahahaha.....the government can be a joke.
This is not about race but this is JUST about religion.
And they succumbed to it too.
I wonder who Najib the Prime Minister is afraid of...

Black To White
Do you think that Michael Jakson's song Black or White might have some sort of connection to a disease called Vitiligo, which the late King of Pop suffered himself?
Think again....
I saw a report on this matter earlier and this chronic disorder of this skin depigmentation as in patches of skin happened to more or less 3% of population in the US and that it is more noticeable with darker skin complexion.
It is said that this disease is hereditary and easily affecting those susceptible to viral disease and diabetic people. The sufferer tend to blister more and sun burnt easily.
One young lady, who had totally changed to fair or white skin told of her predicament during younger years having to braved all of people's labelling, besides children making fun of her skin conditions which she contracted during the early age of 5 years old.
This disease, for those who are not well verse with it -- is not contagious or life threatening although it will effect them socially.
Vitiligo occurs when the melanocytes, the cells responsible for skin pigmentation which are derived from the neural crest, die or are unable to function, although the precise cause of it is complex and not yet fully understood. There is some evidence suggesting it is caused by a combination of autoimmune, genetic, and environmental factors. It is also common in people with thyroid disorders.
This skin conditions will hurt those people contracted by it and will leave an evident impact on one's appearance. Although Michael Jackson's conditions later resulted in a plus point to him because he eventually became totally white all over, some will just be left with the patches which will be obvious surrounding the face, neck and hand area.
Nevertheless, for those who suffered permanent patches, skin camouflage is the most readily available answer to it.

Sunnis and Shiites See an Omen for Reconciliation in Iraq
So does this mean that there will come a day these two would come to terms about several matters pertaining to the religion itself?
Nevertheless, i have read, but cannot confirm the truth of it, that the Shiites who lived among the Sunnis here in the Middle East would not break their fast once the call of dusk prayer i.e. Azaan Maghribe performed by the Sunnis muezzin. They would rather take another fifteen minutes to half an hour of grace period before consuming any food or drink.
The Shiites took this measures as they cannot trust the calling of Azaan by the Sunnis muezzin to be acurate.
Hhhmmmmm.........

6. The reason that has been given is that Malays, particularly kampung Malays just could not do well when the two subjects were taught in English. If we follow this kind of argument we should also stop trying to get Malays to do business because they really cannot do well in that field. They are best at working as wage-earners, particularly in Government service. We should encourage them not to try to go into business.
7. If we do this then the current anger over the New Economic Policy on the part of the non-Malays would be reduced.
8. Similarly with learning English. Malays just cannot learn and speak English. We should stop teaching it so that the language would not drag down the Malays in their exams. We should see better results.

Welcome Ramadhan Kareem.
Today is the first day of the holy month Ramadhan here.
And this would be another month granted by God to me and am thanking Him for enabling yours truly to perform the third out of five Rukun Islam (Islamic Pillar/ maxims)required upon all of us Muslim.
The Holy month of Ramadhan here will be celebrated as usual -- with happiness and welcome of the month through advertisements on tv and roadside billboards, and the liveliness in the night because the mass majority will only be out after the iftar; to conduct what is required upon them religiously, or simply getting together for coffee later on and thus normally will be awake till the call of dawn. Daytime will be quieter as people will be at home and most shops will not be open till 5pm.
Personally, when it come to Ramadhan I will always look forward to one of the 'rituals' of the locals back in my home country -- the 'feasting of eyes' as i call it. Walk at any stipulated area for the 'Ramadhan Bazaar' and one will be feasted with abundance of sweet savouries and all types of dishes, and drinks and whatnots besides having to squeezed through throngs of people of all races buying all sort of food; be it for simply 'being gratified' by the looks or perhaps just another one of those who succumbed to the 'lust' of buying compulsively due to the whole day of not eating and drinking....hahahaha.....
Nevertheless, after being here and not having all these bazaar; I'm learning to adjust to not having this particular sort of excitement and watching people hoarding to food bazaar. I also learnt that its much easier to eat out at the hotels and restaurants here as it just run like ordinary days because people here prefer to have their iftar at home or at their relatives and friend's instead of eat out places;- which in my opinion is the best way of breaking the fast.
The one of the thing that i thank God so much during this month now was the fact that i don't have to pull myself to 'entertain' some people and business contacts because in the business world in Malaysia there is an unwritten business acumen and it is 'a must' for business people to seize this time of the year to locate and build up rapport with whomever -- and 90% of the invite will surely have a 'Yes' answer to it!
I who personally enjoyed it initially, came to feeling rather 'stale' about the whole agenda later, years after years. The most dreadful time was when some who doesn't know how to go home early after having completing the iftar and kept on going back and fro to the scrumptious buffet spread.
I dread those time but on the other hand had to do it because of the forever longing of worldly needs and wants.
The only thing that i found missing was the feeling of the coming of the Holy month itself. It has always been with me, as far as i can remember since I'm in my 20s. The feeling was like an aura or vibes of it coming a month earlier or so.
I realised i had been missing that feeling for the past years since i am here. I am trying to rectify this sentiment though.
I am trying to locate whether it was due to being not at the usual environment celebrating the coming of it (which i doubt, as here, the coming of it is celebrated well unlike Msia) or perhaps, as other commitments in life getting greater, I am becoming less contemplative about certain things in life.
I do not know but will surely found the answers soon enough.

WOMEN AT ARMS -- AMERICAN BULLSHITS
Fitting In in a Military Life Alongside Men
So what is the big deal about their women fighting for the 'make believed wars' when all that they can do is just be back home, work at any of their big corporations or farm (most of them are of deprived families), be with their families and enjoy their weekends together, and watch their kids and husbands play their only true game -- American Football!
The United States, the policeman of the world aka RoboCop who had been wishing and creating and who knows might even have in their secret test area millions of RoboCops which will be sent to all the Gulf and Middle east countries so they can create more trouble -- typical of a big bully who doesn't have any qualms at killing innocent child and women and men that tried hard to defend their countries from being raped by this one-eyed evil so they'd be able to suck all the oil to themselves and their allies...France to name one..).
They had been sending tens of thousands young military men and women and thousands more who had die of an unfortunate cause because they love their rotten country and President
and because of their greed to be the world's No 1 and the only RoboCop in this universe.
This piece of story really tickle my funny bones to the extend that i wanted to puke of disgust as i think it is totally absurd, and not even news worthy, when there are lots of other news or article that would reflect the true grieve they are facing back in Iran or Afghan.

The United States, the policeman of the world aka RoboCop who had been wishing and creating and who knows might even have in their secret test area millions of RoboCops which will be sent to all the Gulf and Middle east countries so they can create more trouble -- typical of a big bully who doesn't have any qualms at killing innocent child and women and men that tried hard to defend their countries from being raped by this one-eyed evil so they'd be able to suck all the oil to themselves and their allies...France to name one..).
They had been sending tens of thousands young military men and women and thousands more who had die of an unfortunate cause because they love their rotten country and President
and because of their greed to be the world's No 1 and the only RoboCop in this universe.
This piece of story really tickle my funny bones to the extend that i wanted to puke of disgust as i think it is totally absurd, and not even news worthy, when there are lots of other news or article that would reflect the true grieve they are facing back in Iran or Afghan.

PUTRAJAYA: Accusations of bias, negative public perception and the immense pressure on the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has got the better of its investigations chief, Datuk Shukri Abdull.
An exasperated Shukri threw a bombshell yesterday: the MACC will
stop investigating politicians, indefinitely. (these politicians namely the UMNO members was very excited somewhere early this year when they came out with a letter to the body asking to be 'left alone', and that investigations into several party members had in a way affect and 'tarnish' their 'clean image'......funny!)
Shukri, who is also one of the graft-fighting body’s commissioners, said he and his men felt they could not carry out their duties effectively in cases involving politicians as they were being slammed no matter what they did.
(i wonder what will be the PM reaction towards this issue. would he say something 'safe' or would he stand on this body and defend their predicament?.....we shall wait!)
Public scorn, he said, was another reason for the decision.
(Obviously, we the public want to see some idiots being reprimanded for their mistakes and 'bribe-happy' attitude. Of course we wouldn't want to accept any reasons especially when it is ' lack of information or proof'. What is slacking are not those but your integrity and your work attitude.....So, prove us wrong.)
Shukri said although the decision was personal, he had informed his top bosses in the commission. (i wonder how he as the boss can make such decision on a 'personal' platform. It's kinda unprofessional isn't it?....what happen to the rest of the board members or managers ideas or perceptions on this matter?)
However, he added, he would suggest new terms of reference for dealing with politicians next week. The terms of reference will include a separate mechanism for handling corruption cases involving politicians.

"We have never asked for acknowledgement but we have been continuously whacked from all sides for doing our job.
"We have been giving it our all, working seven days a week, even during Hari Raya, but the manipulations have affected us so badly that my officers and I just cannot go on like this," Shukri, who has been with the anti-graft agency for 25 years, said.
He even went to the extent of saying he would quit his job if circumstances forced his hand. (hhmmm...he must be dead serious)
His main frustration is over the no-win situation in which the MACC is mired in.
"When we cannot charge anyone due to lack of evidence, they say we are covering up to protect the interests of certain quarters. When we do, they say we have conspired to sabotage. What are we to do?"
(typical accusations from jilted accusers and somehow can't be denied after all, when the transparency and clarity of investigated cases left too much unanswered questions and doubt)
Even before the passing of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, which transformed the Anti-Corruption Agency into the MACC, it had been under siege.
The most recent case involves the death of Teoh Beng Hock, the political aide to Selangor state executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah of DAP. Teoh's body was found soon after MACC had questioned him, in the same building in which the MACC Selangor headquarters is located.
Many people blame MACC for his death. Following a public outcry, the government initiated an inquest into his death and decided to set up a Royal Commission of Inquiry to look into the interrogation methods of MACC. (probably this must also be one of his reason to blew up and decided to drop the bomb this time?....)
MACC has also been accused by the opposition of being a tool of Barisan Nasional, claiming that the commission merely went after politicians from the opposition. Such accusations were made despite MACC releasing records showing that the number of opposition-related people probed for alleged graft paled in comparison with those from BN.
Asked about the case of Wong Chuan How, the aide to Selangor executive council member Ronnie Liu, who said that he would present himself at MACC's headquarters here on Aug 20, Shukri said Wong "could just forget about it".
Wong was to have assisted in MACC's probe into alleged abuse of development funds totalling RM500,000 by several assemblymen.
The Sepang municipal councillor was involved in a scuffle with MACC officers on Friday where he injured his leg after allegedly trying to resist arrest.

Pandemic changes daily life
Geneva: No kissing, avoid handshakes, sneeze in the crook of your arm and wash your hands—pandemics have a way of changing everyday life.
The World Health Organisation says that such simple measures are the best way to prevent the spread of even the most virulent virus.
Swine flu, or the A(H1N1) virus, has got a lot of people worried. Sales of hygienic masks have shot up in recent weeks.
But a WHO spokeswoman said: “Take the normal precautions you would do to seasonal flu or the common cold—nothing more drastic than that. It’s based on practical knowledge.”
WHO director general Margaret Chan took exception recently to the traditional Swiss greeting between acquainted men and women, three kisses on each cheek.
“Maybe you don’t do that any more—don’t hold each other and hug their face three times,” Chan explained when announcing a previous rise in the six level pandemic alert to five.
“It’s just an example to say continue with your business but try to pay special attention to personal hygiene,” Chan added. Her staff were duly told to avoid kisses and hugs as well as handshakes.
Good manners nonetheless survive in the form of good “respiratory hygiene.”
“Don’t cough in people’s faces,” suggested WHO’s acting assistant director general Keiji Fukuda. “Cover your mouth using (tissues) or your shirt sleeve to cough in and take a variety of steps like that.”
Washing hands regularly with soap and water during the day can help keep the virus at bay and go some way to prevent transmission.
Touching the mouth should also be avoided.
However, disposable face masks are only recommended for those who are ill, coughing or sneezing, or if you are caring for somebody who is vulnerable. “You don’t have to wear a face mask if you’re not ill,” the WHO spokeswoman said.
The WHO advises anyone feeling ill—fever, coughing, a headache, muscle and joint pain or a sore throat—to avoid work, stay at home and to inform family and friends as well as a doctor.
“If you are sick, if you have something which may be swine flu or any other illness it may be prudent to stay at home until you are better,” said Fukuda.
“This is a way of voluntarily preventing yourself from transmitting infection perhaps to others.”
Even staff at the United Nations in Geneva—where dozens of nationalities rub shoulders and tread its corridors, offices and canteens—were advised to stop shaking hands to reduce the risk of passing flu around.

especially when the culture of kissing or nose to nose light touch amongst the close knits here in the Gulf.

Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who eat pork"....

The 2009 flu pandemic is a global outbreak of a new strain of a influenza A virus subtype H1N1, officially named the "new H1N1", first identified in April 2009, and commonly called "Swine flu." It is thought to be a reassortment of four known strains of influenza A virus[96]: one endemic in (normally infecting) humans, one endemic in birds, and two endemic in pigs (swine). Transmission of the new strain is human-to-human, with cooked pork products safe to eat as the virus cannot be transmitted by eating foods.
For all my friends who still believe that pigs are not the cause of this worldwide pandemic, please be rest assure that i am not out to attack you and your love to consume the meat of this deadly flu carrier just because they start calling it H1N1 (commonly the pandemic is still known as 'Swine Flu').
This killer virus which are airborne had caused 1,462 deaths worldwide since its outbreak in April. The total number of positive cases worldwide now stands at 35,025 as the current report as of three days ago. Here in this country i reside it only managed to 'kill' one person and the my birth country to date had 51 death; which is not surprising due to the climate and large-scale pig farming especially around Malaysia's west coast Negri Sembilan.
The influenza H1N1 so far as reported by the World Health Organization (WHO) with symptoms which can last up to a week, are similar to those of seasonal flu, and may include fever, sneezes, sore throat, coughs, headache, and muscle or joint pains.
This viral spread must be taken seriously because it is airborne and spreads easily between people, through the air or surface contact and those who get the flu are recommended to stay home from school or work and avoid crowds to avoid spreading the infection further....(now I'm regretting having dinner at one of my fave place last night due to mass crowds there).
In an attempt to slow the spread of the illness, a number of countries, especially in Asia, have quarantined airline passengers with flu symptoms, while some are also pre-screening passengers.
WHO does not expect to have a full vaccine before the end of 2009, and vaccines available sooner may be limited and given first to healthcare workers, pregnant women, and other higher risk groups. Two or three injections will be required for maximum immunity from both the swine flu and seasonal flu. There is also concern if the new virus mutates further, it could become more virulent and less susceptible to any new vaccine.
Okay, for those of you who are oblivious and lack of info on this 'Swine Flu' pandemic; please read following....just to have some tips for your goodself.
What is swine flu?
(Note: U.S. researchers are trying to term 2009 swine flu viruses as H1N1 flu viruses as of April 2009.) Well i guess this must be because they and some other felt 'humiliated' and 'belittled' with people blaming their favourite meat.
Swine flu (swine influenza) is a respiratory disease caused by viruses (influenza viruses) that infect the respiratory tract of pigs and result in nasal secretions, a barking-like cough, decreased appetite, and listless behavior.
Swine flu produces most of the same symptoms in pigs as human flu produces in people. Swine flu can last about one to two weeks in pigs that survive. Swine influenza virus was first isolated from pigs in 1930 in the U.S. and has been recognized by pork producers and veterinarians to cause infections in pigs worldwide. In a number of instances, people have developed the swine flu infection when they are closely associated with pigs (for example, farmers, pork processors), and likewise, pig populations have occasionally been infected with the human flu infection.
In most instances, the cross-species infections (swine virus to man; human flu virus to pigs) have remained in local areas and have not caused national or worldwide infections in either pigs or humans. Unfortunately, this cross-species situation with influenza viruses has had the potential to change. Investigators think the 2009 swine flu strain, first seen in Mexico, should be termed H1N1 flu since it is mainly found infecting people and exhibits two main surface antigens, H1 (hemagglutinin type 1) and N1 (neuraminidase type1).

Internet users upset over Govt’s filter attempt

PETALING JAYA: Online and wire agency reports that the Government is mulling an Internet filtering system similar to China’s controversial “Green Dam” project has got the local online community in a huff, while technology experts questioned the viability of the project.
Online portals and wire agencies reported earlier Thursday that the Government has called for a tender for a system that could block “undesirable websites.”
Information, Communication and Culture Minister Rais Yatim, whose ministry issued the tender, also plans to secure direct control over the content and monitoring division of Malaysia’s Internet regulator, Reuters quoted a source as saying.
Rais himself said last month that he would introduce measures to “control the bad” elements on the Internet.
Neither Rais, nor any of the government bodies related to technology, were available for comment at press time.
China’s Green Dam project sought to install software filters on all computers sold in the country to block pornography and “other harmful content,” but has been put on the backburner because of technical issues and a rising tide of protest from civil society in and outside China.
The Association of the Computer and Multimedia Industry of Malaysia (Pikom) was disappointed with what it said was the Malaysian Government’s attempt to censor the Internet.
“It has gone against its word to ensure the medium remains open and uncensored,” Pikom chairman David Wong said.
The MSC Malaysia Bill of Guarantees specifies that the Internet will not be censored to ensure the success of the MSC Malaysia initiative, he noted.
“It will also be difficult to filter ‘harmful content,’ especially that found in blogs, on the Internet as it knows no boundaries,” he said.
Wong said Internet users did not share their thoughts only on blogs, but also through social network sites such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, as well as chatrooms and forums.
He said a better and more viable measure would be to educate the public on the consquences of spreading harmful or irresponsible content.
Technology advocate Dinesh Nair said the Government’s efforts might just be in vain.
“They can try to filter the Internet but it won’t work,” he said.
He also believed that if the main reason was to block “undesirable content,” the Government would be better off using the educational approach.
If the Government were to block one “harmful site,” another would just pop up in its place, he added.
Internet users, he said, view online censorship as damaging and will always find ways to circumvent any such barrier.
“It’s better to educate the rakyat (people) to be proactive and identify these sites and exercise good Internet surfing habits, rather than censoring the Internet,” he said.
Artist and new media advocate Muid Latif said Internet censorship would only contribute to the negative growth of the Malaysian information and communications technology sector, especially in the area of creative content.
“This ridiculous restriction will reflect badly on Malaysia and potential investors will think twice about making an investment here,” he said.
Many in the Government have blamed the vibrant and critical Internet culture for Barisan Nasional’s losses in the 12th General Election in March last year, and there has been pressure from some quarters to muzzle the medium.
The Government had previously considered registering bloggers, many of whom are critical of the ruling coalition.

Coming to terms...
With swine flu, and later Black Death scare, the raging Typhoon Morakot slamming into the east coast of China on Sunday with its angry winds of up to 111 miles an hour and disturbing the peace of life of almost a million people, the recent midair collision in New Jersey of a tourist copter and a light aircraft, and the forever fight for supremacy and 'power' in Pakistan, India, Sudan and the non-stop peace talk of Gaza....what more can we ask from our creator?
The on-going tremors on a daily basis and not reported due to the 'slight tremors' and not important earth 'movement'....it shows that the world is really tired with its inhabitants and the prophecy is showing day by day.
The world is too old and humankind keep on blatantly violating the environment and each another...What more a tiny individual can do when the big powers are out there to ruin the whole beautiful world that is now watching disaster coming in one by one and day after day.
May God be with us all.

Black Death Bacteria Can Spread From Human To Human
Over the weekend, news emerged that a variant of the same bacteria that caused the infamous" Black Death" or bubonic plague, in medieval Europe had claimed three lives in the Chinese province of Qinghai, prompting the government to quarantine the town of Ziketan, home to 10,000 people.
A rash of pneumonic plague in China has claimed at least three lives.
The bacteria responsible, Yersinia pestis, is the same bacteria that caused the bubonic plague, which wiped out, millions of people in Europe in the fourteenth century.
While this form of the disease, known as pneumonic plague, spreads from human to human, without needing rats or fleas for transmission, it is not the grave threat to humans it was in medieval times.
"In this form, the organism gets in the lung -- that allows it to be transmitted by coughing," explained Philip Alcabes, associate professor in the program in urban public health at Hunter College's School of Health Sciences and author of Dread: How Fear And Fantasy Have Fueled Epidemics From The Black Death To Avian Flu. "The problem with that is that it allows it to be transmitted directly from person to person."

What can you expect from China?
The country that has the most populated cities in the world, with the type of hygiene practice there, and the people who culture of spitting anywhere and everywhere publicly and the attitude of spitting unwanted food or bones on the table at restaurant; any germs would be happy to live in this environment.
Since the spread of any pandemics will originate from filth and dirty animal such as pigs, the practice of good hygiene would always be good for the human nations. The easiest thing is to wash hands with soap after a trip to the loo or perhaps, restaurants better provide anti-bacterial liquid instead of the cheap hard soap that is only god to wash dogs and cats.

THE people were told not to panic over the spread of the influenza A (H1N1) virus in the state, which has affected 135 people.

In reply to a question by Betty Chew Gek Cheng (DAP-Kota Laksamana), Norpipah said the state government and the state Health Department would keep the people updated on the situation.
She said the Health Department was also screening all entry points to the state, such as Batu Berendam Airport and the ports of Quayside, Tanjung Beruas, Kuala Linggi and Sungai Rambai.
Of the 135 confirmed cases, she said 65 were treated at Malacca Hospital and the remaining 70 were placed in home quarantine.

I'm sighing every time reading about this flu updates.
Here in Qatar there had been one death already. A local chap whom had just arrived from Dubai. He was quite young in the thirties, but succumbed to the viral attacked. It was said that he was an obese. Perhaps the body immune system wasn't strong enough to fight this disease.
Since me and my family will be heading back home for half of the Ramadhan and Eid celebration soon, I'm thinking of ways and means on how i can counter any interaction or having to stand near to people. I can't actually.
I'm able to avoid crowds at the check-in counter via the online check-in, where passenger need not to line, but just chuck our luggages for check-ins.But going through the immigration department would be horrible.It is small, very suffocating, very crowded and unpleasant at all.
One thing for sure, the summer holiday here, which will end soon, will definitely see loads of people travelling back into the country from around the world especially the Western countries and Europe.....now, these countries are the places which had the highest death and cases at the moment.
I can refrain from being near anyone in the airport as much, but i am incapacitated when someone sitting on the next row, or along the row in the airplane coughing or sneezing.....duhhhh.
And the most susceptible person to this flu are the elderly and young children.
Or okay....if i don't mind being the joker, I'll don the face mask like some Chinese back home sometime do (sorry guys; i never see other races doing so!) or during the JE (Japanese encephalitis)a severe viral death spread by mosquito, which obviously originated from what else if not the PIGS.
Yes, it's the bloody pigs again.

THE people were told not to panic over the spread of the influenza A (H1N1) virus in the state, which has affected 135 people.
State Women's Affairs, Community Development and Health Committee chairman Norpipah Abdol told the house that the health authorities are "on their toes" to control the spread of the virus.

Anti-ISA protest: KL city centre turns chaotic
07.05pm: Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Mohd Sabtu Osman says that 438 people were arrested until 6pm, including 37 women and 38 juvenile.
06.40pm: Mohd Khairul Azamdin, legal adviser to pro ISA Majlis Gabungan NGO Pembela Negara walks through police blockade and is now at the the Palace to hand over a memorandum urging that the ISA be retained. He is alone.
06.29pm Crowds disperse; reduced police presence; IGP says city situation is under control....read further.

Thus I would like to express my deepest sympathy to some people.
This sympathy note, however has nothing to do and not related to any loss of the love ones in their life but more of a expression of pity to the individual themselves.
I sympathised those people who try so hard to fit in the shoes which is not theirs. Trying hard to fit it to where they don't belong. Trying to be the person who they are not. Trying their utmost best to be creative making up and making believe that they posses something that they are not, which sooner or later they will be caught up in their own web of deception, and eventually will be found out by people surrounding.
Perhaps it was due to peer pressure. But than again, peer pressure should only existed during the teenagers life and not as an adult. Perhaps it was because they are afraid to lose. Perhaps also, they wanted to stand at the same height and sit along the same bench with those that they admire. Maybe. This is just my summary of people attitude and aptitude.
I sympathised those people who try so hard to be what they are not.
Trying to compose certain temperament so that it constitute a make-believe personality that they tried hard to portray. It's a pity that these people do not and perhaps too drowned in their made-believe disposition, did not realised that their behaviour, personal disposition, verbal aptitude did not match their basis of claims.
It's is a pity when the façade they put up began to slowly crumbled.
Aren't they afraid of others perception?
Aren't they afraid of the consequences?
Or possibly, they might think that they are surrounded by inarticulate people to take notice of their fabricated disposition?.....I awfully feel pity for them.
What is wrong being your true self?
What is wrong for you to be truthful to others and especially to your own sorry-self?
What is wrong if you don't have what it takes to be where 'you think' you belong to?
What is wrong if you are just your plain self?
It is better to be your truthful self than being what you're not which later would eventually prevail?
Didn't the tag "The truth will prevail" inject some consciousness to one conscience?
Perhaps this is one of the symptoms of mental disturbance that is on rise due to the attempt 'to be the best & to be better than the rest' and battle to be seen and respected without even giving a thought to their own principles and values, if they have one.
