Melayu lagi...

Dipetik dari blog Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

The Malays -- Religious supremacy of one race.

"GENERALLY, love and sex seem to be a taboo subject within polite Malay circles. It’s not exactly something you bring up as conversation over dinner.
In fact, even the mention of Valentine’s Day would most probably bring up a salvo of negative responses, especially for Malays who are remotely thinking of partaking in its celebration.

On the Net, there’s already the chorus of naysayers warning us to once again ignore Valentine’s Day, a day that has become one of the most commercial and profitable days of the year in the context of the western world.
From the plethora of postings and remarks online warning Malays, in particular, to stay home and not go on dates on this day makes me wonder if the Malays really are prudes. I’d always thought that it was the British who were prudes. Remember the saying: “No sex please, we’re British”? I think we should now change it to “No sex please, we’re Malays”....

*****************************************************************

I know this post might come a bit late.

This New Straits Times online issue which I have kept aside, in order to give ways to my never ending chores, including focusing on a couple of projects in hand,  re-reading this interesting article written by Anwardi Jamil made me wanna share my opinion too.

This article, if I summarised, basically trying to get to the bottom of the current situation where the Malay muslims are getting more religious; good or  bad -- that depends on how one want to evaluate it.
In general it is a --   'Dont get your ass worked out too much yearly when February comes with your so heavenly, divined Islamic lifestyle telling people not to celebrate the Valentine's Day... And  that the Malays themselves are not a whole lot of pious people to start with...

His statement  in the earlier para--  "The funny thing is, the Malays, from what I have observed in my adult life, are actually preoccupied with sex and love. Really."..and this really made me laughed and wanting to more what this writer has to tell.

Yup, as expected. I like his article.
I mean, THIS is what Im talking about.
This is what I thought so too.
Its like we're sharing the same wavelength so to speak.

Let's put it this way.
Im the same race as this writer.
But I very much want to be subdivided into something else.
This is an endless conundrum since my younger years.
And, we always use the word - typical.
Or, if on the political side of it, we have (in Malaysia) the UMNO baru (new) and the "old" UMNO during the 1988 judicial crisis.
Basically they're the same but subscribed to a different way of looking at things.

Now, lets not divert.
Back to the actual story I wanted to share.

Valentine's Day, Islamic authorities and sex.

As Anwardi Jamil mentioned in his early paragraph, 'it's a taboo subject (sex) within polite Malays'
And I must agree with him.
It's a taboo. We (my mom and sisters)  don't talk or discuss about it.

Although I don't really think Im that polite.
Im far from being politically correct.
Im blunt, straight forward and say my opinion well besides manifesting it regularly too.

But, yes, it is a very sensitive issue even though I still believe discussing about it with close lady friends; not on the technical aspect of it, but rather on the health and emotional side of it is not a problem at all.

Coming back to Malaysian nowadays.
Just like the controversial Kassim Ahmad claiming that "Islam in Malaysia has been abused through a “priesthood caste” system."....I somehow must agree with him to a certain level.
According to him this priesthood caste did not exist at the time of the Prophet or the four caliphs. They only emerged about 300 years later by appointing themselves as interpreter of religion for Muslims, and the Muslims view their religious leaders like gods and goddesses, that these leaders are seen to be protected from maksum (protected from sin) and must decide on everything about their lives.”...how truthful!

And, not enough of that enigma amongst the Islamic authorities, the Muslim Malays at large are becoming too overly "alim" or pious and sometimes to blind to know between the truth or false, as long as they are able to share all sorts of hadiths on social media (they'll claimed good deeds in spreading the word of Islam plus they believed it could gain them more credits to heaven), or if one can get the free title of Ustaz or Ustazah by donning long tudung or wearing kopiah ; they'll get paid conducting 'ceramah' here and there, or perhaps on a smaller scale for the 'commoners'; they race to organise daily or weekly 'usrah' -- all in oder to broadcast their religious standing among the rest.
And, heck, the things that they routinely talk about are mostly what you can find by reading and researching hadith, and word from companions, or if that is not enough, it will definitely about sex -- this is MUST congratulate one Ustaz (self claimed) Azhar Idrus in particular.

Who am I to judge?
Yup, I far from being a pious person.
I didn't cover my head and don't intend to become another religiously-stricken woman. But I do read.
And I do view and listened to see and hear what these 'religious people' has to preach about.
All in all -- they are nothing near compared to the realisation and questions answered by the known Peace TV speaker Dr Zakir Naik of India.

During my teenage years early late 80s and 90s where you can hardly find any tudung clad girl in a school, the scenarios are a total opposite now. I do not frankly know whether this is a good or bad sign.
During those days, almost no news about child rape, and no news about newly born being left to die in the drain, or left at rubbish dump, or at surau or masjid unlike now....

So, what are the clerics doing?
Are you trying to showcase your religious supremacy among one another, giving talk on the telly and at some open field, and gaining followers via facebook and tweeter?

Why bother about those who want to celebrate the Valentine's Day?
Why bother about whatever intimacy they'd manifest to one another, when the actual problem is in the community itself?
A community that loves to feel that they are more better than the other.
A community that has the largest out of wedlock children.
A community that top the throwing and killing of unborn or newly born babies.

If the wrong things about celebrating the Valentine's Day is because as a Muslim one are not allowed to celebrate another religious celebration -- then say so.
But is Valentine's a religious celebration?

And do you, people of the authorities, found a studied that show a lot of out of wedlock babies were born post Valentine's Day?....

What are your basis?
Religiously or morally?

Budak hingusan Part 1.

Haaaaa...mesti best dapat pakai gelang free kan?
Budak tak habis sekolah, dah nak sibuk menjadi perusuh.

Menolong Anwar/Lim Kit Siang memporak perandakan keamanan tak salah?

Rasanya budak hingusan Adam Adli ni teringin nak jadi Che Guevara kut.

Ramadhan Kareem...

Today is the second day of Ramadhan.
As usual and as it has always been, the month will be flourished with all good deeds and doings and all are racing to pluck credits from God as this holy month is the special month among the months.

I cant help but recall my younger years where during this month I'll be donning a more decent and 'covered' outfit for work, especially. This is the time where the traditional baju kurung or kebayas will be out of the closet more often rather than occasional Fridays or kenduris.

During those 'neither here nor there' or probably rebellion still the main handler of my life, I too try to come to respecting the holy month in my own way. I remember one of them was my trying not to miss praying time of Dzhur and Asr by bringing along my 'telekung' (praying garment) in the car. Due to rushing for meetings here and there, driving and traffic jams in Klang Valley these two prayers can be quite hard to do. No doubt the hardest one for me to perform, unless I'm in the office.

The one incident that I will remember during the Ramadhan was my first attempt to pray at the Kuala Lumpur Masjid Jamek in Kuala Lumpur town centre. Since it was the Asr prayer time, and the traffic was building up, I decided to stop over and perform my obligations. Honestly I don't go to the masjid and I do not know that I have to cover my head to go in the masjid compound then.
After parking by the road side, I walked in to the compound. Suddenly I was taken aback by the sound of someone calling "Cik...Cik"...with a whiff of an angry tone.

Naturally, I looked around to see because there was nobody else there except me. I then noticed this man, who is a guard there walking hastily towards me in the same time telling me to go out of the masjid's compound.
Naively, I told him that I want to go and pray, instead he told me that I cant be walking in without covering my head first!

At that spur of the moment, I wanted to tell him off but managed to take control of my irritation in time before I uttered another word by just turning back and walked to the car. Knowing I don't have any scarf and wanting to just drive off, I then remember the inner head cover I have with the telekung and put it on to 'satisfy' the guard.

I know that it is required by Islam for the Muslim women to cover their hijab...no doubting it, but when I or some other Muslim women out there, who doesn't cover their head but dressed covering the whole body in a respectful ways, wanting to perform her prayers, what is so wrong about walking in the masjid without the head scarf?

Yes, it is a manner required by human to enter a masjid compound BUT does God look at it that way?

I am not a lady who covers her head, BUT I was asked to cheat on myself, and others by having to cover my head just to walk few metres to the woman's praying hall. God almighty damn well knows whats in my heart and obviously know that I don't cover my head, human are making it complicated and asking people to be pretentious. Be whom they are not....or not ready yet.

Do you think God will be smiling an extra inch because I covered my head just to walk few metres to the praying hall?
Or maybe the guard, with that cynical angry face felt I should not even come to the masjid to pray because I can't even do the simplest thing such as covering my hair? No?

But whatever people might think or whatever perceptions they might have towards me and my likes, I know we are in the category of unpretentious Muslims who just want to do what is required of us and doing it slowly, instead of those who only 'feel and making believe' that God is at the work place, or at school and masjids compound only.

Let me tell you what I did after I finish praying....
Admittedly I am quite a sarcastic person and who feels I should make the other party know my like and dislikes by either verbal or body language, I obviously can't let this 'angry' guard to go off with that cynical grin.
So while walking back to the car and still in the compound, noticing the guard was actually looking from afar, I casually took off my tiny white head cover and start finger -combing my long hair freely....HA HA HA

Malaysia teen bride holds public celebration-- Malaysia.

Hmmmm...at 30 years of age, i never even consider of getting married nor have any kids.
I wonder what this child had in her mind....whatmore the parents'?

1. Avoiding sinful life maybe?
2. Having legalised sex maybe?
3. Being exposed to sexual desires two to three years prior to this wedding maybe?

....on the lighter side, i remember reading this news from one China news agency long time ago. It was about this couple in some rural area in the northern province, who had gotten married for the past 3 years (?..or so, i cant really remember the detail).
They had been trying to have baby but failed until one day they were suggested to visit their local family-planning agency, and was later discovered that the man, all the while had been entering her fro m the back side!!

Hahahaha....see, even though this story i read, was like some 13 or fourteen years ago, but i really cant forget about it. This is one sure thing we human should take heed. Obliviousness can resulted in many many unfavourable situations.
What more can you expect out of a kid who is just 14 years of age. And the following thing that would come , being typical MALAY, they'd surely consummate their marriage ASAP, and don't be surprised she'd be expecting by first quarter of 2011.

Inject some senses in you people!

Nazri: ‘We should get rid of Perkasa’

Umno is against any form of racism and does not support Perkasa said Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz.

“We should get rid of Perkasa,” said the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department on Tuesday in the Parliament lobby when reporters asked
for his response to MCA vice-president Datuk Donald Lim’s suggestion that the
Chinese should form their version of Perkasa.

"What's the point of having another extremist body? We want to get rid of Perkasa,” he said.

He said that Umno was seeking to distance itself from Perkasa but acknowledged that no action could be taken against people who proposed such extremist bodies unless a police report was lodged against them.

And suddenly PERKASA should be rid off?
After being formed post 2008 General Election?
I'd vote for Nazri's being yet again, uttered some stupid comment. No need to wonder why he is neither here nor there after being in the cabinet for that lenght of time.

Malaysia is seriously turning hay wired.
They are led by a band-wagon of shitty jokers comprises of Malay, Indian and Chinese politicians.
They're all such an idiot that they themselves, realising it or not, making a fool of themselves with their greed for power and money.

I wonder what will happen to Satu Malaysia - Najib's baby after being the Prime Minister?.

Now, this association wasn't gaining any focus but when it was made public sometime in March - with the touch of Nazris's most hated person Mahathir, every race available in Malaysia want to have their own version of superhero En Perkasa (Perkasa means immaculately strong in English).

To date I cannot comprehend the moves by ex- Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in officiating the body- a Malay nationalist group, which was initially turned down by the Sultan of Selangor for some unknown reason.

Indeed there are some good intentions behind the entity set-up with its agenda to safeguard the sovereignty of the institution of rulers, Malay and bumiputera rights and the sanctity of Islam as the country’s official religion...but they should expect that this moves would be politicised by the other two race, who had been making very clear of their needs and wants past ten years.

Hailing the Mat Rempits - another Malay enigma.

KUANTAN: RM20,000 in cash awaits the Mat Rempit who ride the slowest.

The state government is organising a special "race" for more than 1,600 youths it had identified as Mat Rempit.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob said all of them would be invited to take part in the race.
The race would be divided into several categories where riders have to ride for about 50 metres.
"They can ride just any way they like.
"But they have to use their skills to be the last to reach the finishing line without falling to become the winner," he said at the joint opening of the Umno delegates' meeting for Kuantan and Indera Mahkota divisions here yesterday.

Adnan said "this first of its kind" race was part of the state government's effort to get closer to the public, especially those involved in social problems.

He said Umno leaders must organise more programmes that the public and grassroots leaders can participate in.
"We must work hard as if the general election will be held tomorrow," he said.
To ensure victory, he said Umno must ensure that its members remained with the party.

At the same time, they must also try to woo fence-sitters and counter allegations hurled by opposition parties.

How stupid a minister can be? I wonder what is the benefits out of one race?
Making side income for the next GE?

Maybe he is trying to follow suit the king of Rempits, Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ) in idolising the Mat Rempits on the pretext of 'trying' to help them to take a good course in life.

It's a joke.
Worthless effort.
Silly idea.
An obvious show of stupidity.

Melayu will be melayu....

To all the Malays....and there'd always be those who are so Melayus whom would be easily ticked when topics about them are being touched.

Typical.

Brand new Malay dilemma-Azly Rahman

In 1997, Asiaweek published the following responses concerning ‘power’ from Malaysia's then Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said: “I am not saying that I enjoyed power but I find that it is useful in carrying out the things you want to carry out. If you don't have power and you put out a very reasonable proposal, nobody will implement it. You have to have power.”

When asked why some suggested that he is addicted to power and didn’t want to let it go, he answered: “… it's not the question of wanting to let it go. I sense I may be wrong of course, that people do not want me to go just yet.
They keep on telling me that. Of course they may be sycophants. But the fact is that they say that what I am doing has made the country what it is today. Well, they say, I may be wrong, they may be wrong.”
Power had brought him achievements over 16 years at the time.

Asked if this was a little too long, he said: “People will think it is too long. But one thing you can be sure of is that the certainty of your demise will undermine your ability to run the country. The problem with many countries is that their leaders are only allowed to do one term. People don't respect that one term because you are going to go out anyway.”

Almost 10 years after the interview, he still thinks he is in power.

******************************************
It is sad that this chap, whom we'er not so sure of who he exactly is but just a freelance writer writing on the opposition-pro webpage has done proving himself.
He is a surely one among many people who belongs to the 'old Malays' thought, those who refused and afraid of changes and be different and easily felt belittled with simple direct forward statement.
What is wrong with the ex-PM believing that he still have some power whatsoever?
Isn't he the one whom still being invited to give talks in the country and abroad? Do they invite Pak Lah?
And, let's accept the fact people.
Mahathir is definitely the guy who made and brought the country to where it belong and being recognised and where you and others are enjoying good life right now. No?
Is it wrong of his statement that 'If you don't have power and you put out a very reasonable proposal, nobody will implement it'....this writer must be joking and living in denial or perhaps he is just a normal income earner who had never experience having to fight and struggle to get some deals done. The sweat and tears and disgust of not having the power OR know someone in power to give one a good break in life?

Gimme a break.

I might not be some Professor of a university or any of the damn 'look-upon' professionals, but I might have a larger life experiences than most of normal income-earner put in comparison and that my friend is VALUABLE and money-can't buy.

Obviously Mahathir, the father of the ultra Malays chief, would think that he is still having some power. He still have his supporters, more than his current politician son. Like it or not.

Yours truly and people of my league are also known as the new Malays are his supporters.
We defy 'typical Melayu' who chose to subscribed to the Melayu thinking and being subjected to the 'syndrome tidak apa attitude and symdrome malu tapi mahu' .

And my answer to his lousy end of 'Almost 10 years after the interview, he still thinks he is in power' ~~ hello Mr.Azli who-ever-you-are,...THIS is not a dilemma. It's the new mindset that people of your sort ought to weight and dwell. Just start by putting aside your 'kampung mindset' and start change your outlook on life as a whole.
I'm sure you'll see things brighter out of the "typical Melayu bespectacled vision'.

Duuhhhh.....typical.

SEX and the Malays

KUALA TERENGGANU: Anal beads, dildos, vibrators and sex dolls – these are some of the sex gadgets said to be peddled to students of a university here.
They even have prostitutes catering exclusively for the undergraduates.

Amrie Amanah, who recently graduated with a degree in information technology at the university, alleged that these sex toys, some sold for as low as RM50, were being peddled by a group of seniors in clandestine transactions often outside the university’s compound.

“The seniors have links with other universities in the East Coast and they even arrange for sexual partners for a sum,” the 26-year-old from Kelantan told The Star here yesterday.

Amrie said the seniors sourced the gadgets from a neighbouring country and stored them at a home in Gong Badak here.

He claimed that a 28-year-old student led the group of seniors to promote the gadgets to other students, adding:
“I knew of their activities some two years ago but was not bold enough to come forward as I was still a student then. I decided to expose their wrongdoings once I graduated,” he said.

Amrie said the leader of the “syndicate” was from Perak and had been at the university for the last seven years, currently pursuing his Masters.

“They have links with other universities and I believe they even operate a prostitution ring catering exclusively for undergraduates,” he said.

He claimed that the group members at his former university were all men and had a close rapport with another university in Terengganu in which the members were entirely female.
When prompted, Amrie managed to buy a silicone penis ring dubbed the “Prince Albert ring” for RM50 on the spot from one of the seniors.

He said the seniors operated until late at night and gadgets were available on the spot. Rooms (outside the university grounds) would be made available at a sum.
“It’s a well-organised syndicate where all arrangements are made for students seeking sexual pleasure anytime,” he said.

****************************************

Now, that really make me believe that people from all these places outside big towns are very sexually-inclined lots. Correct me if im wrong.
Well, at least these university students are above 17 years of age and can have sex with whoever and 'whatever' they preferred, but what about those found having orgies in one of Kedah's remote kampung area?

This story which happened many years back were not made public but was told by a cousin who was then the head of one religious department in the northern area of Peninsular.
Those girls and boys aged as young as 15 till 19 were found in a house in some small kampung.

And the MOST interesting part is, this kind of social ills came only from one race ~ the champion ~Malays~ because the other race(s) are studying hard to get by in the country, or for the rich ones, straight away enroll themselves into overseas universities.
Gosh....it is utterly humiliating having to read about all this things, and what more when it come from my own race.

There are news about students selling dope, offering free sex for drugs and now this...
Perhaps it is true that all these sickness and horny affect in the younger generations was due to too much of hormonoes intake via cultivated foodstuff such as chicken etc...

The Malays & Jewish

Coke to invest $302M in Malaysia, open new plant

'Coca-Cola said Tuesday it will build a new bottling plant in Malaysia and invest $302 million over the next five years to boost growth in the Southeast Asian market.....'

*******************************************

Despite being open mindedly accepting the news on one of the world's largest beverage company setting investment in the country, there are, as usual, some shallow minded people who would state their protest on such development.

Since according to the spokesperson, the investment will be the largest in the region, and economically, it will generate work opportunity to the local people, I sympathised those fanatics on saying that this is one way of letting the Jews into the country.

What they meant by that, only they and their likes understand.

No doubt that the shareholder of that giant company are Jews or of some Jewish descendant but don't they ever give it a thought about the country's economics?
Can't they just look on the inside to what happen to Kelantan, a state on the east coast of the Peninsular. See what happen to the state when there are no investment due to their rigid regulations.
Where can they earned their income if not from companies investing in the state?
Take a trip there and you'll see how they've been deprived with good development right down to be unable to pay proper maintenance companies to clean their towns and kampungs.
See Selangor, another state on the west coast, and especially Shah Alam, the main industrial area, and the capital of the state.

Watch how it developed?
Know how much the state and councillor make yearly?...

I am not championing the Jews, but I feel those skeptics should take a while putting aside their 'dramatic' Islamic opinion, putting things on the shelf and start evaluating the whole idea before shutting their doors to all non-Islamic whatnots, especially investment, which eventually will help their countrymen or their kampung folks near Nilai and Negri Sembilan including those folks who suffer the retrenchment during the 2008 slump get some job at least.

And, what is not Jews or owned by the Jews?
The Levi's jeans that you wear?
The shampoo that you used?
The Top 10 Western movies that you watch?...you know, like Spielberg and his like?
Don't tell me you never watch Star Wars at all?
Don't tell me you never 'help' contribute even RM1 to any Jewish based companies in term of the usage or consumption of their products?

One similarity I found among these 'pious' people is, they think they are smart and very religious.
They think they are closer to God than most people, especially people with liberated perception in life.
They think they are the one that is religiously fighting in the name of Islam and Allah.
There are loads of them...and it is getting more and more each day, thus why (my answers to my fellow non-Muslims) there are more religious-based unrest in Malaysia than it was 20 years ago.

Which brought me to one of my mother's friend predicament.
She came to my mother expressing her disappointment towards her eldest son's decision.
After spending years in Japan studying (obviously with the government grant) came back to Malaysia, and later did another advance studies to furnished his portfolio, at the end, he decided not wanting to work at all.
The sad thing about this guy is, because he has been mixing around with some Islamic fanatics while studying (i can attest to this because yours truly encountered same experience too), he refused and rejected offered by multinationals with comfortable yearly package because ' the company is not ISLAMic enough for him'.

Hmmmmm....what can you say to that?
Because honestly, in Malaysia there are near to zero if you're die-hard Islamic-based gooer in term of big employment entity...
The worried mother suggested an endeavour with Islamic-based bank, and his answer was ''it's hard also because the money that he'll be earning is based on 'riba' or usury that is forbidden in Islam"...

That certainly made me laughed.
I bet all those Muslims working in the bank in Malaysia and the world are feeding their families with non-halal money!!
My God!
That is one example of what sort of things silly fanatics and those people who thought they're holy, got in their head.
To know more, I would suggest the FBI retained the bodies of dead fanatics (of course those in suicide bombings cant help much as their brains would be spurted out on the ground), cut their head and do some research on their brains and gather info as to what contributed to this all this enigma.

It's sad.
It's silly.
It's foolish.

And oh, for those of you who hate me for my opinion, and think that you're more Islamic then me, and feel that you should continue hatred towards other religion and races,...read me :
Google and Yahoo and your current craze of facebook-ing -- they are all founded by young smart Jewish!!

Why not stop all communications then?

Malay, langguage, politics...yet again.

The political affairs of my birth country sometimes never fail to bemused me with its overwhelmingly blown issues. The recent one that triggers me into commenting was the teaching of Mathematics and Science in English which the government has decided to revert it back officially to Bahasa Malaysia effective 2012.

Okay, for those who does not really know about this matter; this hoo haas started early this year when a group of people, whom i would call 'the tools' used by another group of people namely the politician whom i would non-hesitantly call 'the parasites', staged some demonstrations on the streets. This demonstration demanding the government to change the teaching of the two subjects back to the original Bahasa Malaysia (BM) was done with the assistance of one local 'nationalist' and pro-Bahasa Malaysia activist as the head, followed by some nonchalant followers, majority the Malays.

This issue is called PPSMI.

What is PPSMI?
PPSMI (or Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Sains dan Matematik dalam Inggeris)is a policy concluded sometime in July 2002 by the Government of Malaysia during the office of the fifth Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

The rationale of this policy from changing the medium of instruction from the Malay Language to English for the teaching and learning of the two important subjects was, according to Dr Mahathir as a move to enhance nation’s human capital development in order to compete at the global market besides looking to achieve the standard of a developed country. Thus the citizen needed to be backed-up with proficiency of the international language besides some other improvements.

The method of teaching using that medium was carried out in stages once the launched of it in early 2003.
All Year 1 students for Primary Schools, Form 1 and Lower 6 students for Secondary Schools and subsequently a full implementation of it in 2007 and 2008 for Secondary and Primary Schools accordingly.

Although it is known that the two subjects, Maths and Science, have a crucial role in the progress and development of a country, there are some quarters who felt that this move is going to make the national language Bahasa Malaysia as 'secondary' and unimportant, and deemed to be degrading towards the national language.
In his reason, Dr Mahathir said the implementation of this PPSMI was to ensure students’ mastery in science and mathematics in view of the fact that most of the sources are available in the English language.

In general, one cannot deny all kinds of innovations and discoveries which happen rapidly has its information access mostly in the English language. For instance in Science, most of the references are in that international language, thus, making it much easier for students to grasp the real meaning of the terms and scientific jargon.

Bahasa Malaysia, meanwhile, a lingua franca in this Malay archipelagos, derived from the Bahasa Indonesia (although some people claimed that the Indonesian are the one who adapted it from Bahasa Malaysia and changing it to Bahasa Indonesia. Iwill touch on this in another writing).
Besides that, being a country that was once being colonised by the British, some part of the country being taken over by the Portuguese, undoubtedly, words derived from those languages can be found in the Bahasa Malaysia with add-ons from other languages such as Tagalog.

I remember during the reign of the current de facto leader of PKR ( an opposition party in Malaysia), Anwar Ibrahim as the Education Minister while I was in my early secondary years; he was almost happy to Malay-lish all English words. Thus you would have words such as bajet (budget),edisi (edition),projek (project), 'tranformasi (transformation), informasi (information), diskusi (discussion), amaun(amount),motivasi (motivation), preskripsi (prescription), ),and loads more.

Coming back to the PPSMI, in my opinion, the whole issue was blown out of proportion especially when an illegal gathering outside Istana Negara (The King's Palace) in showing protest was carried out by people obviously laced with shitty political motives wanting to pacify their political supporters.

With three major races in Malaysia, there are three major political group, namely the MCA and Gerakan (who try their best to suck-up to the Chinese votes)and put a smiling face to the Chinese Education Group (again, the reason is they are afraid they wont be able to teach in their language; Mandarin)and the MIC, trying hard to win the Indians hearts.

This is also one of the reason why Malaysia, although had been independent for the past 51 years, CANNOT abolished the Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (school with teaching medium in their own language, Mandarin or Tamil).

In this case, where the government later decided to suck-up to the needs of these parasites and agree to revert back the teaching to Malays language, and putting aside the predicaments of the students, and putting education as a tool for their political agenda, the least group that will benefit is the mass majority ordinary people.

What do i conclude from all these hoo haas?
When one idiotic Malay man lying in the middle of the road demonstrating this disagreement on this matter, and when a known Malay language activist and poet have shallow mind and think that by learning in other language will not bring justice to the national language; this are the group of people that will stay where they are last time, today, tomorrow and in the future.

Do they ever think of their children or grandchildren struggling to even speak in English when being confronted? Do they ever think the difficulties in having to understand thoroughly when they go to lectures if they studied abroad?
Do they think that they only want their children and descendant to be Malay and speak Malay and think Malay and become a poet.

What will happen to the professional sector in the country?
Taken over by the group of people who are proficient in English?
And the Malay will stuck to the seat of government jobs forever?
And the economic of the country run by other people?

It is true that changing one's mindset is the hardest thin to do.
What more when changes are for the betterment of one nation.

This is why one chap in his writing very proudly claimed that even the Filipinos who are proficient in English (i seriously don't know where he pluck this fact from) become a maid at the end of the day. The stupidest thing that one can say when he want to agree with what he believes.

Kelantan

(After being preoccipied with whatnots, im finding myself interesting subjects from the national front.)

Rahim Concerned Over Kelantan's High Rate Of Road Accidents

KUALA KRAI, July 5 (Bernama) -- Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri today expressed concern over the high rate of road accidents in Kelantan.

He said 175 people were killed on Kelantan roads in the first five months of this year, which was almost 35 per cent of the 544 deaths for the whole country.

In the first five months of last year, 151 had died on Kelantan roads, he said when launching a road safety campaign in Sungai Sok, Manik Urai, here, on Sunday.

According to a study of the Road Safety Research Centre of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), 60 per cent of road deaths involved motorcyclists and pillion-riders who usually suffered serious head injuries, he said.

He said that based on a report of the Royal Malaysia Police, most of these accidents took place in the rural areas.

Abdul Rahim said the Transport Ministry, through the Road Safety Department, intended to halve the number of accidents by next year.

He said the strategy included encouraging the use of crash helmets of Sirim standard, raising awareness on the proper way of wearing helmets and getting motorists to be more cautious and disciplined as well as to obey traffic rules.

At the event, Abdul Rahim gave away crash helmets to 300 adults and 20 youngsters.

Personally and through own experience, in general Kelantanese drivers are of the worst drivers. Not because they don't know how to drive well compare to other people, but they posses bad driving attitudes and are of the sort that never give even any thought about the consequences of their dangerous driving.

Usually these drivers are those who came from the lower income group and drives local made Proton or Peroduas cars that highly make-up with cheap accessories and generally would be fitted with 'super-duper' exhaust that presumably could heighten the speed of the cars and they
would rammed the rpm right up to the highest to beat some other higher cc cars.

They change lanes or cut lines without having any consideration of the geographical layout of the road, oncoming vehicles, or even the speed of the car in front of theirs.
This especially more evident during the rush of 'balik kampung' travelling for Eid celebrations. The usual journey which would take around seven hours or so, will be dragged to sometimes 12 hours (as per my own experience). Perhaps because of these ' slow downs' they tend to drive even faster to get back to their kampungs.

I could attest 99% of the Kelantanese people find their money elsewhere in bigger towns such as Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baharu or Penang. But they concentrate more in the cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur to earn their bread and butter.
Nevertheless, they are the sort of urban dwellers that enjoy going back to their hometown every other weekends. They are a very 'close-knit' lots that would discard other people originated from other parts of the country (Malaysia) except maybe Terengganu because they are the "east -coast" people and speaks similar dialects (perhaps) besides possessing very distinctive liking towards driving recklessly.

My thought on all this effort by the government is what can the authorities do to curb these dilemma when it is living and flowing hot in their blood?

Perihal Chin Peng Dan Pendatang Haram

Perihal Chin Peng Dan Pendatang Haram

Kerajaan Malaysia perlu tegas dalam banyak hal lebih lebih lagi berkenaan dengan isu pelacuran dan dijadikan batu loncatan kepada pandatang asing yang diketahui umum melalui penipuan berikut;

Malay again!

I have had one conversation with a person in regards to this race, Melayu or Malays.

All of us know that the Malays are not the original dwellers of Malaysia.
The Malays in Malaysia came from the Malay Archipelago and nearby islands that speaks the Western Austronesian language used as the official language of Malaysia and Indonesia; Bahasa Indonesia.

The people of the Malay Archipelago are predominantly from Austronesian subgroupings, and all correspondingly speak western Malay-Polynesian languages. Also, this region of Southeast Asia share more social and cultural ties with other Austronesian peoples in the Pacific than with the peoples of Mainland Southeast Asia.

Often, the mainland part of Malaysia, which is known as Malaya, is included as part of Maritime Southeast Asia in order that all the non-Oceanian Austronesian peoples can be included together in one cultural region.
The main religions in this region are Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism and traditional Animism.

Thus there is definitely no Bahasa Malaysia. Bahasa Malaysia is just a term used to differentiate it from the original Bahasa Melayu aka Bahasa Indonesia.

Over centuries ago there would be a lot of traders from other side of the world that came down to this peninsula but majority would be coming from neighbouring country, Indonesia.
They are the one that found this land and later developed it and became sultans of certain states after this little country had been subdivide according to the strenght of the head of group.

From then on the earlier people would inter-marriage and breed off springs. One who knows Malaysia and its multiracial people would know that those Malays from the northern part of the country would resembles more of an Indian and Arabs people with high nose and certain features opposite of their southern counterpart, whom would be more of a Bugis looking people originated from Indonesia besides from some small state Indonesia such as Minangkabau and such.

Coming back to the conversation i had with that person; according to history those people who came down here from Indonesia are those lots that of a 'sulky' attitude and that those who are very resentful and cant make it well back in their homeland.
It seems that they came here to this malay peninsula to seek new land and console themselves; thus the feeling in some of the Malay people now would be very reflective of their ancestor.
They would always feel the need to show off their dissatisfaction but without wanting to go harder in getting what would be good for them. Would always be complaining and always sulking .....hhhmmmm....if you asked me the relevance of this theory; i got no comment but have to agree on certain attributes in the Malays nowadays.

LOPSIDED PERSON

"I really have to admire parents who have maintained their children in the national schools, especially when they are not Malays. My daughter spent eight months in a national school before we had to pull her out. We had become increasingly alarmed at the type of racial-toned language she had started to use. Obviously she was being indoctrinated every day with the idea of racial superiority of only one community, hers. We felt we could not counter this effectively ourselves so eventually transfered her to a private school. It's not perfect and we were very sad to have to do it but we really didn't want her to grow up in that toxic environment.".....

Browsing thru some blogs i found this quite intriguing post on the quite sensitive (as they the racist put it) situation; racial divide in this country.
The writer of this post is a well known person. The father is a very prominent and respected person. Being someone's prominent offspring, one would likely get to be prominent themselves naturally due to the unavoidable (lime) light.

What i found to be interesting is that her posting on the 'deformity' of the national school.
Probably this was done with her comparing her school-days time to the current ones. Being so much far apart in age, i must say, and having left school not so long ago which is in late 80s', i must say again, that this blogger is quite exaggerative in her comprehension about the national school.

This blogger should just admit it that being from where she came from, it is just not the "in-thing" to send their children to ordinary school (national school). People know and read about well off people and even the education minister himself are sending their children to international or private school for the "elitness" of it.
Thus is does make sense that people with their "social standing" would not and will try to avoid sending their kids to ordinary school, which is Malaysia public school.
I know few of these lot of people personally and even have relations doing so.

But what im trying to establish here is why on earth this blogger mentioned "the type of racial-toned language" that the daughter uttered after spending ONLY eight months in national school.

My questions are;

1. The daughter is quite old to be just starting school and where did she go to school before that eight months? Is she having any sort of problem mixing around thus making her hop school?

2. How can she pick-up those "racial-toned" language for that short of a time?

3. Meaning all those successful people in Malaysia and all those best students with Dean's list who studied in universities here and abroad came from "private school" and not national school?

My prognosis on what this blogger is trying to imply here are as follows;

1. Her daughter must have a been a frustrated kid due to the parents strict rules trying hard to mould their daughter to fit to their own 'dream-daughter' person.

2. Due to her retaliation towards the parents, she became rebellious and that is why she picked up all these 'racial-toned' language for such a short period of time in national school. Because, if this blogger is trying to imply that the 'superior' race and teachers are the reasons that the daughter are being 'indoctrinated that her's is the superior race", it just make no sense at all.
I have been in school too, where the majority is the other race than mine and experience the 80s and 90s which isn't far from the millennium. I do not think children of school going age would be as racial as the blogger's assumption.

And i do not think that its the teachers because besides the short period of each subject; the teacher wouldn't have time to incite any 'racial-toned' understandings amongst the children unless the daughter had been sent to a wrong and very remote national school somewhere in the east-coast where the states are run by an Islamic political party.

3. Lastly, these 'toxic environment' in national school that the one that produces good well-recognised Malaysians locally and abroad. Much much before the "private school" fever hit the market. And do not blame the teachers or school for your children's unfortunate schooling experience.
All you know, she had been picking it up from within.

The blogger also mentioned;

"I realised that perhaps in our schools today, Muslim kids and non-Muslim kids are having very different experiences. The Muslim kids were constantly subject to endless religious classes as well as constant talk about the difference ( and yes, the superiority) between them and their non-Muslim schoolmates. While non-Muslim kids generally have a more 'normal' school life where they are pretty much left alone to pursue all regular school activities so they like school better. "....

Lets get real here.
It is a must for all Muslim students to attend the religious classes, but then how many times and total hours it took per week? It is not even two full hours per week!
And while it is a must to attend those classes in national school, it is however optional for them in private religious classes which is conducted out of the schooling time and all at the parent's discretion.

How can this person claimed that what makes the national school going kids are more racist came from constant talk about the "racial superiority between them and the non-Muslim schoolmates"?
Who the hell would talk about all this racial things when school children are ever too busy with their studies, co-curriculum activities and whatnots.

This blogger assumption on what had turned out of her daughter after going to national school for just eight months is utter nonsense and is a very lopsided point of view.

Malaysia Today: Your source of independent news - Najib: Muslim by birth, Hindu by practice

Najib: Muslim by birth, Hindu by practice

I came across this and find it quite amusing.

Nevertheless, personally, i would not question the truth about this 'bomoh' or medium thing among politicians in Malaysia.

It has been going on i dont know since when.

And on the DPM's wife's involvement in the bomoh thing;- i know a person who are related to another person whom had personal experience long long time ago on her bomoh activities.....to ensure the hubby got to the position that she dreamt of. Damn.

This actually brought my mind years ago to watching this Nat Geo (or perhaps Discovery) documentary on how Cuban higher officials( must be instructed by his leader Castro) drew a strike on one samll dummy's eyes (similiar to those voodoo dolls) and mouth.

The doll supposedly to represent the then President Bush (the older Bush).

According to the mediums, by doing so and placing the dolls on an altar in a small prayers room, the President would be tight lipped on giving any comments whatever on the Cuban government affairs or something like that.

The documentary which was focusing on this sort of rituals and mystics believers also mentioned that the top mediums or charm believers are the African. The Asian particularly SEA came second.

This made me recall a friend's story on one rituals conducted in one of the Indonesian islands.

It was said that there would be one particular night where all the bomohs etc would conduct a ' challenging night' and everyone would be hiding in their houses early to avoid 'accidental mishaps'. This challenging night is when these so called bomohs will test their rituals and power by "releasing" their hantus whatever and start attacking each another.

Some sort like aero-space fight, i guess......i wonder......
