More Monkey Business...
This got me really amused.Truthfully, I didn't know things such as what I found out today existed...I mean, with all things 'american' and with their politically-correct way of doing things and saying things -- I seriously didn't know that there are group(s) that will boycott monkey-picked coconuts!
I mean, like these people (westerners) in the first place do not have coconut in their country -- we all know that.
And for Asian, especially South East Asian, we have it in abundance -- so basically, centuries ago our ancestor just know what to do with it, and how to deal with it. And we do, do things differently than you people you know.
When it come to coconut, we Asian have been exposed to this plant ever since we know how to crawl. It is everyhwre in the village area, or by the sea, and even behind our house. We learnt in Geography how it is planted, harvested, what we can do from the leaves right up to the fruit.
Thus watching monkey picking coconut is now new.
Yes, there are people who'd climb the tree for meager fees in small small village, but it is just easily done by monkey.
And who say the monkey isn't well taken care of?
Do they made some private call to your protection office to complaint?...Duhhh....
What do you westerners expect? For the monkeys to be sheltered and have their own separate room with tv and fridge?
Darn me.
I came across this webpage after doing some digging on the past year's craze over everything coconutty.
From the milk to the flesh.
It's the current superfood it seems...I reckon we SEA, especially the Malays must be so darn healthy because we eat almost everything from main dish to deserts made with coconut milk and let me tell you -- the best 'nasi lemak' would be the one that uses the real coconut milk instead a drop or two oil by some health conscious roadside seller -- to me only spells ugly taste and greed of wanting to make profit by quelling the originality.
One thing for sure; and one thing to prove some of them are seriously oblivious to the origin of coconut milk; I read a thread and these westerners were 'debating' on how to get coconut milk naturally -- instead of buying the carton ones that might be laced by BPA thingy (again, americans paranoia) one of them suggested dig open the hull -- using drilling equipment..(har har!! and just poke it open and put in a straw , viola one can drink the milk straight from the fruit!
Coconut milk straight on.
How oblivious can one be.
When someone who can go on the net, have access to all sort of information, if one can't make the effort to really check out what is coconut milk and coconut water -- it basically spells their nature of believing that they are smarter than others (especially non-westerners) and know everything around the world even though they haven't' set an eye on a coconut tree in their lives before.
Anyway, coming back to the webpage that have too much of a concern that monkeys are maltreated by human, they will announce name of companies that DO NOT use monkeys so concern end-users will only buy from listed organisations.
According to them "these companies engage in ethical business practices, ensuring human workers are properly compensated for their work. They do not use monkeys or human children to harvest coconuts."

RIP Lee Kuan Yew..(hopefully)..

...because as many people out there praising you after your death, and putting you at the altar as the "Founding Father" of Singapore -- there are as much people that will forever hate and curse you too.
You are treacherous, racist and modern-time communist.

Health, wellness and fulfilment.
Im trying to get away from criticising about things, or people.
Or finding fault in other; which I
Im still a concern person despite my eagerness to create a better person in me and ridding unwanted energy surrounding me.
Maybe it is a little bit too late given the wasted years; or perhaps it is not, because nothing IS too late while you're still breathing -- to plant goodness in life.
To savour life experiences in whatever form it might come.
The term 'I should've' -- I tried very much to reduce in my daily life as far as I can remember.
It might put a little weigh up on the shoulder, but once you're used to it, it will become part of us.
For example; of me trying to sort out why the existence and continuations of this certain toxic behaviour in someone I know, which has been going on forever.
I have been dwelling on it.
I have been bitching about it.
And I have had endless gossiping sessions on it...the only thing I haven't done is write a short story of it or perhaps get a script writer to pin it down for me because I know this would obviously be a sellable story for the local television in Malaysia...(okay, now Im diverting...)
So coming back to that issue.
After years of seeking the whys and the whys....I finally let it go.
Of course it doesn't go immediately. It took a gradual steps...slow but very steady until one day, I realised that I have ab-so-lutely no feeling of remorse, or anger, or agitations whatsoever when facing this particular individual.
And I was quite surprised by the new energy in me...the thing that I never knew I could be able to do with toxic individuals..(sorry to myself, I do not know why Im like magnet to all kind of individuals) and I know that, it is the beginning of solace after all the years. And the learning of not clinging to our anger or hatred or any sort of resentment at all.
After all, I know, we human are created good and well by the One, only life and surrounding mapped and changed us to what we are. Good or bad.
It is good to feel good.
If exercising promotes endorphins in us, the feeling of total relieve of any resentment towards people does good to our soul.
We can feel better. Genuinely.
We can feel good and living life without having to compete in worldly possessions or personal gains.
The only thing is that, determining whether it is what we really WANT or HAVE to do for ourself.
When we lead our life having to do what we have to do in order to become like someone, or having any posses a certain lifestyle even though it is beyond our reach -- it will not be permanent.
It will however be detrimental to both our mind and our fragile soul.
Instead, being mentally healthy and happy is paramount and achievable once we learnt how to troubleshoot those ruining emotions and thoughts.
The ultimate road to there is first, by knowing our self, how do we REALLY feel about certain things, and secondly work on it in order to justify those feelings and thoughts; whether it will bring us good feeling or it is just dust in the wind that will disappear unknowingly.
Forcing or expecting others to see how we look at things is not easy especially if our outlook in life per se are quite contrary. This, however is the test of our resistance towards own emotional fluctuations.
Once we're able to tackle the inner war, we will not do anything that will make us feel uncomfortable, nor do we force ourself into doing something that we do not agree upon.
In return it will make us a more genuine and honest person -- first to ourself and then to others around us.
I have always trust that statement ' no regrets'.
Managed to lived up to it for this long, it would be a terrible lie if I say I have never done anything wrong or unjust in my life especially during my rebellious years of growing and searching for some footing in the society, but I took all that as my teacher.
Life experiences is our greatest teacher.
It what that help shape us. And we must learnt from our mistakes and held them up as our life guidelines.
It will then come to where we will be able to set free ourself from expectations of others and society's pressure. True happiness will only happen when we let ourselves do what feels right for us. When we do something because we WANT to do it, we will find it, and we will embrace it and it will stick on to us for a very long time.
Most of all, we will adapt to it , and it will become us.
It is better than pondering on it and not doing anything to come out of it.
Recently I have learn something new.
I am quite a brand believer.
I will stick to a particular brand and this made me not wanting to try or look at any other options.
For example a kitchen towel. I have been sticking to this particular brand for its durability and moderate price (that's what I feel). I will not look at higher price with thin layers obviously, I will not try any cheapest one because the quality is zero (it's proven).
So one day, having time to browse the aisle at the grocer -- I saw one that caught my eyes and afer evaluating (by eyes) the material, I gave it a try.
Viola!...It is cheaper than the normal one that I have been buying all these years, the quality is compatible and most of all I learnt that brand-loyalty would close us from trying other new things.
So, let us try to change in order to gain fulfilment in life.

Boeing mum on missing plane MH370?
Just when I was asking myself on news about the missing flight MH370, this article came and I must admit it added up to my previously contemplated believe that something fishy happened to the missing jetliner.
The last I know was Australian government still continuing with the search.
Most probably because it was near their waters.
But no one knows better reason besides them.
However, imaging millions of dollars have been and still being channel in to the search...I wonder again, what and who are the beneficiaries here.
And, where the funds actually generated from.
Would it be shared? Or will it be reimbursed by Malaysian government, which I quite doubtful.
If not, then why the continuation of the search and exhaust the dollars into searching for something that might not be there at all.
Even if there is, the black box not giving anymore signals.
There aren't any debris found.
There's nothing at all.
This article by Dr Mahathir indeed indicates something preplanned took place.
Now Im a believer.
1. What goes up must come down. Airplanes can go up and stay up for long periods of time. But even they must come down eventually. They can land safely or they may crash. But airplanes don’t just disappear. Certainly not these days with all the powerful communication systems, radio and satellite tracking and filmless cameras which operate almost indefinitely and possess huge storage capacities.
2. I wrote about the disabling of MH370’s communication system as well as the signals for GPS. The system must have been disabled or else the ground station could have called the plane. The GPS too must have been disabled or else the flight of MH370 would have been tracked by satellites which normally provide data on all commercial flights, inclusive of data on location, kind of aircraft, flight number, departure airport and destination. But the data seems unavailable. The plane just disappeared seemingly from all screens.
3. MH370 is a Boeing 777 aircraft. It was built and equipped by Boeing. All the communications and GPS equipment must have been installed by Boeing. If they failed or have been disabled Boeing must know how it can be done. Surely Boeing would ensure that they cannot be easily disabled as they are vital to the safety and operation of the plane.
4. A search on the Internet reveals that Boeing in 2006 received a US patent for a system that, once activated, removes all control from pilots to automatically return a commercial airliner to a pre-determined landing location.
5. The Flightglobal.com article by John Croft, datelined Washington DC (1st December, 2006) further mentioned “The ‘uninterruptible’ autopilot would be activated – either by pilot, by on board sensors, or even remotely by radio or satellite links by government agencies like the Central Intelligence Agency, if terrorists attempt to gain control of the flight deck”.
6. Clearly Boeing and certain agencies have the capacity to take over “uninterruptible control” of commercial airliners of which MH370 B777 is one.
7. Can it not be that the pilot of MH370 lost control of their aircraft after someone directly or remotely activated the equipment for seizure of control of the aircraft.
8. It is a waste of time and money to look for debris or oil slick or to listen for “pings” from the black box. This is most likely not an ordinary crash after fuel was exhausted. The plane is somewhere, maybe without MAS markings.
9. Boeing should explain about this so-called anti-terrorism auto-land system. I cannot imagine the pilots made a soft-landing in rough seas and then quietly drown with the aircraft.
10. Someone is hiding something. It is not fair that MAS and Malaysia should take the blame.
11. For some reason the media will not print anything that involves Boeing or the CIA. I hope my readers will read this.

Desert design..
1997, D.A.ST. Arteam created Desert Breath, a one-million-square-foot art installation in the expanse of desert near the Red Sea in Egypt. Though since weathered, the artwork still remains today.Often, artists create work with a view to immortality; if they In can't live on, perhaps their creations can. Danae Stratou, on the other hand, knows one of her seminal pieces has a death sentence. In 1997, she joined with industrial designer Alexandra Stratou and architect Stella Constantinides to create a breathtaking spiral made up of alternating conical dips and protrusions in the Sahara Desert, near the Egyptian town of El Gouna just off the Red Sea. The project, known as Desert Breath, spreads over one million square feet of sand. While the installation is still visible from the sky, there are marked signs of weathering. A body of water that once acted as the work's center point has since evaporated. The earthen mounds have flattened over time, and cracks can be seen on the overall surface of the piece. For the artists (known collectively as D.A.ST. Arteam), Desert Breath's impending demise is the whole point."Through its slow disintegration, it's become an instrument to measure the passage of time," says Stratou. And as time has gone on, she adds, she finds she enjoys the piece more and more.
"The more time passes, the more it becomes fragile, but it also has developed a more organic relationship with the site. When it was just made, you could feel the connection to the shape, but now, it looks like it wasn't made by human beings at all, and this is something we like a lot."n fact, to many users of Google Earth, the site doesn't look man made. Before knowing what it was, several commenters speculated it was anything from the imprint of an alien spaceship to the gateway to a parallel universe. A recent discussion on the Google Earth forum led to the work's rediscovery, almost 17 years to the day after it was first built.
"It's surprising that so many years later it would get all this attention, but on the other hand, sometimes things find their own moment," Stratou speculates.
"Perhaps people can appreciate this kind of thing more now than they could back then, when they were caught up in making money or being famous. Today, we're in a financial crisis, and perhaps Desert Breath reflects a new humility people feel, or a new need to connect to nature."
D.A.ST. Arteam spent nine months constructing the work, with the help of a local construction crew who donated the tools and manpower to build the site.
"I was totally cut off from Western civilization -- though I found that a positive thing. It was a huge change in the life I had led up until then. I woke up at four every morning and worked on the site through to sunset. There weren't mobile phones back then, so I couldn't even speak to my family in Greece," she recalls.
There were times when it seemed the shelf life for the installation would be cut short. In the early stages of construction, the town of El Gouna experienced the worst floods it had seen in 60 years. Five years after it was completed, the government decided to build a new road that cut through the site.
"We had to go back and negotiate with the governor, who nicely agreed to take the road back a few meters. For me, it just showed that the biggest danger is people. I think people are more likely to destroy it than nature itself."-- CNN

Im not afraid...
27. Menjadi penakut memalukan. Bangsa yang penakut tidak boleh dibanggakan. Janganlah kita sengaja menjadikan bangsa kita bangsa penakut. Sebaliknya cubalah supaya bangsa kita jadi lebih berani. It has been quite a while I have not visited Chedet's weblog.
Today, and since I've been attacked by my own representation of 'writer's block' and time was on my side, I decided to web-surf his and few more others just to touch base especially with the local political and social whatnots.
Chedet's Dec 13th webpost grabbed my attention.
The word takut @ afraid.
The word that my mom once told me, can harbour good and bad -- that was after my action of crumpling and throwing in front of a policeman the summon he gave me during my racing for meeting years. Long story short, all I asked from him was what had I done wrong and he didn't answer me!
Perhaps that word 'takut' wasn't in my vocab at all and I was so desperately late for my meeting with some affiliates -- I said what I wanted to say ( also part of believing too much in 'my rights as a citizen')....of course, he got crossed, I got in my car and sped off, he jumped on his motorbike and halted me and issued another summon without saying a thing and although I didn't signed the summon he stuck it on my windscreen and went away -- very angrily obviously.
See, that incident show how the 'takut' should be in existence sometimes.
When I rationalised the whole situation some times later, my action can actually caused me some uncalled for circumstances...like some 'paybacks' from that quarters, as some of us know it actually happens.
I remember years later reading about one lawyer who managed to get away from being prosecuted after he called one policeman 'bodoh' (stupid), whilst a girl, the following year or so, who might want to try her luck calling names at one policeman was being apprehended for three or six months.
Of course coming back to Chedet's story -- another interesting point he made out was the relationship of Malaysian politicians with their special 'consultants', which to my knowledge has been going on for ever...will it stop? I don't think so....The Malays, Indians and Chinese...all the same.
So basically, having no fear at all is not good.
Having feeling afraid unnecessarily also not good.
Having fear we gonna lose our possession will make us paranoiac. But having no fear of God Almighty and believing in another power or sources is not good and considered shirk in Islam.
As Chedet mentioned, we should not be afraid to face the truth. And one should never seek help from soothsayers, regardless of whether they were true or false. False soothsayers are liars who pretend things to attract people's awe, money, or both. True soothsayers rely on jinns and the devil, and apply procedures containing kufr to produce their spells. Thus all of their spells, including ruqa, are prohibited, and any Muslim who seeks their help are condemned.
As indicated in the Qur’an, (the magicians can never be successful) (Taha 20:69), nor (can they benefit anyone) (al-Baqarah 2:102). Because of all of this, and from the rule established earlier that Allah did not make our cure in anything that He prohibited, we clearly conclude that it is not permissible at all to seek a ruqyah from a such people.

Action speaks louder than words.
Oouucchhhh.....aww.
“I have been defending the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community’s rights for over 20 years now. In fact, I defend the rights of all who have been discriminated against, the poor and everyone else. So if there is any discrimination or violence against anyone, I will continue to defend their rights. That’s it. Do you understand?” she said.
How noble.
Have been defending LGBT (damn, i didn't know they have acronym for this abnormal sexual-preferences lot) for over 20 years already.
And I don't know why the next statement 'In fact, I defend the rights of all who have been discriminated against, the poor and everyone else' -- why? Afraid that people going to misjudge you? Or maybe you just want to make known that you're such a love and a lady who is filled with so much empathy that you also feel for those poor whatnots.
One question...Why I have never read or heard about you fighting for the poor if that's what you claimed?
Why never read about you joining those pickets related to the needy? Instead I read more of you fighting about Muslim wanna denounce their religion, and endless accomplice along the so-called liberated Islamic NGO; SIS.
Now, you're big on gay lesbian community.
Lets face the truth and please don't pretend by putting up the facade trying to imply you're such an open minded person. Whatever and however you wanna put it -- Being lesbian, gay and bisexual is still wrong and abnormal.
If you're a true Muslim, you must know and I reckon your most respected daddy must have teach or pay some ustaz to teach you the basic Islamic education all young Muslim children go thru.
Come on you people.
Please accept reality.
Having to love and having sexual relationship with your own gender or better still, being multi plug, where both can do -- IT IS WRONG.
And to those of you who are Muslim, you must know the punishment awaiting for us in the other world.
Wake up and don't be lured to accept this ideology.
And, Marina -- FYI, action speaks louder than words.

Wasting of time.
KUALA LUMPUR: The suggestion that convicted child rapists be sent to the gallows has sparked an active debate as yet another case of sexual abuse of a child emerged yesterday.
There was mixed response from both sides of the political divide on the suggestion, with Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil saying that capital punishment alone was not sufficient deterrent for child rapists.
While she supported the death penalty for child rapists, she said it was more important to focus on the social and moral environment which produced such criminals.
“We need to refine our community values and prepare measures to protect the vulnerable in society, especially children.” Shahrizat said a thorough study was required to ascertain the effectiveness of the death penalty as a deterrent. She said the issue was complicated by the fact that the majority of child rape cases were committed by family members, fathers, uncles and brothers.
“In such cases, victims might discouraged from reporting instances violence, particularly if they know they be responsible for the death of member.” She said the imposition of the penalty might even worsen the situation as a rapist might be more inclined to kill his victim.
Shahrizat said an alternative would be a lengthy jail sentence for child rapists.
Sarawak Women and Family Council chairman Datin Fatimah Abdullah said the death penalty would be a powerful deterrent against “heinous crimes”. But she echoed Shahrizat’s sentiments in saying more should be done to counter the problem.
“The death penalty will not make up for the intense trauma suffered by rape victims,” said Fatimah, who is also minister in the Chief Minister’s Office.
The maximum jail sentence for rape under the Penal Code was extended from 20 to 30 years in 2007.
The call for capital punishment was made by DAP chairman Karpal Singh who called for an amendment to Section 376 of the Penal Code on rape to include the death penalty as the mandatory sentence for child rapists.
Ironically, two of his detractors on the issue were from his own party.
Bukit Mertajam DAP member of parliament Chong Eng said the death penalty would not change the situation as rape was difficult to prove while Beruas DAP MP Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham said the death penalty should be reserved for the most violent crimes.
Chong Eng cited a study by the Penang-based non-governmental organisation, Women’s Centre for Change, which revealed that only four per cent of reported rape cases were successfully prosecuted with the rest dismissed due to lack of evidence.
The Wanita DAP chief said prevention was the key to the issue of child rape, adding that parents and school authorities should discuss matters relating to sex openly with children.
“Many children are unaware of what kinds of behaviour or touching of body parts are inappropriate, leading to many cases being underreported.”
She said there was a need to speed up court processes as lengthy prosecutions discouraged many victims from speaking up about their ordeal.
“These cases should be prioritised as they involve children, who may not be emotionally developed enough to handle long trials,” she said, adding that child victims of rape should be provided counselling.
Ngeh said the death penalty should only be meted out if the rapist was also guilty of committing extreme violence.
The Perak DAP chairman said child rapists should also receive psychiatric treatment to control their psychological and physical urges.
“Uncontrollable sexual urges or sex addiction can be reversed through treatment.” --NST
*****************************************
Death penalty should be reserved for most violent crime?
Wonder what that DAP politician felt when read ing about 9 years old being so raped, sodomised and quelled if that weren't hideous enough for him. Perhaps he'll take another vote if it happens to himself....maybe.
Perhaps he's seeking cheap media thrill and hoping for coverage for his idiotic statement.
The Perak DAP chairman said child rapists should also receive psychiatric treatment to control their psychological and physical urges because according to him 'uncontrollable sexual urges or sex addiction can be reversed through treatment'...
Basically, a leopard will never changed its spot. Why waste time and effort, and taxpayers money for them. Their uncontrollable sexual drive are none of our normal people business if they can't keep their boner in the right place.
Vote to kill them.

Porky Pork
It tickles my funny bones after I've been left dried with uninteresting news and news about crimes and social ills.
This certainly made my day!
Here.
Read also my opinion....ha ha ha
*******************************************
Pork prices to go up if no new farms .
JOHOR BARU: The price of pork will continue to increase if the government does not allow more pig farms to be opened soon, said the Malaysia Pork Sellers’ Association.
Its chairman Goh Chui Lai said the price of the meat in Malaysia was now 30% higher than in Thailand, Vietnam, China and the Philippines.
“In fact since January, the price has increased from RM7.60 to RM7.90 per kg,” he said, adding that the government’s move to import pork from Canada and Europe did not help to bring down the price.
Speaking at a press conference here yesterday, Goh said pork in Thailand was sold at RM600 per 100kg, and about RM550 per 100kg in Vietnam and China.
“The government should give more permits for pig farms,” he said, adding that price increase for pork would burden the people.
Johor Baru Small Business Association president Chin Yoke Weng said if price for the meat continued to increase, consumers might find other alternatives.
“Then hawkers will have to stop selling pork,” he said.
Chin hoped the government would look into the matter before the Duan Wu Festival next month as then there would be a huge demand for the meat to make dumplings.
**************************************
How could they asked for more pork farm?
And I doubt this is for own consumption. Must be some motives of hiding pork meat ~ just like hiding of flour and sugar ~ habits of Malaysia middlemen or productions line in order to get their motives materialised.
Maybe, what they meant was not enough for export to Singapore. Everybody know the tiny republic is keeping their environment clean and import porky pork from Malaysia.
And I do not think the price is high at all.
Whenever Im back home and want to do some cooking, I'd pay RM8.00++ per kg for my kampung chicken ...so what is RM7.90 for a kg of that meat.
Why by increasing the permit would help consumer, when, all you need to do is buy and eat less of that meat. As we all know, pork meat contains all sort of bacteria / germ that can't be eliminated even by cooking at the highest degree of heat.
Pig is also filthy and smell like hell and eat on filthy feeds.
Obviously it is not good for consumption.
I mean like, we have beef, chicken, lamb and all other sort of meat available.
Decreasing in eating that meat won't hurt.
All pork eaters should do is, get use to eating other kind of meat....just like now, there are more people eating organics, becoming vegans, and more selective of their meat intake.
And prawns combine with chicken goes nicely in any dumplings....

C'est la vie...
Something that I think also goes along the line of things that we can't dwell too much, in this case, about our existence from Adam and Eve to who knows who the last baby(s) that was being born at today's stroke of midnight...(and i wonder how many more would that be).
Around the world.
Rural and urban.
Registered or otherwise.
All I know from my sparse knowledge, we human were created to run on the face of earth as His obedient servant to carry on managing the world rightfully and when the time comes, we will definitely will be called back to Him.
Even though, how better we think we are, we human will always be the destructive lot.
We are the creator of our own variety of stigma. We are never-ending chasing for glory in our own way. Chasing for power and accomplishments. We are envious. We are materialistic. Selfishly inconsiderate and just name it ~ we have it all in us. Little or more.
C'est la vie my friend...
I must say, it is quite a frustrating journey sitting on my couch reading and watching the news on whatever is happening near and far. From the act of God to inhumane act of human.
From suicide bombings to state one's idiocy, to missiles firing at each another and dumping of newborn babies by person who call themselves human.
I have read about endless stories about dead babies found in a dumpster.
Some hoards by ants or found scavenging by dogs or cats.
How many young child as young as seven years of age found raped and sodomised and killed by animals in disguise?
I'm perplexed at why with advancement in life, human won't be able to human anymore.
Perhaps, this is what God have promised for the human race and those whom allows sickness, greed and lust shrouding their life.
Living somewhere far with a slow steady life somewhere at the fringe of town where my skies were blanketed by the tree tops and my grounds are covered with greens away from destructive human race ~ both emotionally and mentally is indeed my ultimate hope in life....c'est la vie.

Mysteries and death.

Shroud of Turin
By Kayla Webley
Be it fact or fake, the Shroud of Turin, a yellowed, 14-ft.-long (4.3 m) linen some believe to be Christ's burial cloth, has drawn millions to the Italian city. While the Shroud bears an image of a crucified man with wounds similar to those endured by Jesus, carbon-dating tests in 1988 showed the cloth was made between 1260 and 1390 and therefore could not have been used to wrap Christ's body. Still, the test results have not stopped pilgrims from flocking to take their 3-to-5-minute looks at the shroud this month in its first public viewing since 2000. Some say the tests may have been skewed and should be redone.

~The ever unknown fact of the followers~
Anyway, as I believe that the subject of life and death should be openly discussed without the feeling of 'taboo' -- because, hey, we human will die eventually; I remember my very interesting chat about life and death with a friend whom father had passed away many years back. This friend had kept the ashes in an urn and it was kept there on an altar in the house.

However, the subject of my story today was the story about cremation and what happen next.
Okay, so, this friend of mine shared with me an interesting fact about what today's people do with their loved one's cremains.
The urn keeping will definitely be noble and done but now people actually have ways of preserving the ashes in a more interestingly nice and beautiful ways.
It is by having the ashes transformed into coloured crystals and with nice designs.
The colour however will naturally emerged from the essence of the cremains which determined by the minerals in the dead body plus other factors and chemical compositions.
Interesting.
I do not know whether in Malaysia anyone had done this before, or whether they have this in existence but this form of preservation is already getting a hit in the US especially with the younger generations.
This crystals will be some sort of keepsakes and i guess would somehow make the passing of people not so hurtful as they would be 'transformed' into another form of object which will be seen or touched ~ unlike ashes.
Unfailingly, when I heard or read stories about cremation and crystals, my mind will always flew back to a once a very close friend whom I had the chance to know in my early days of working. He is (was would be rather inappropriate since I do not know his actual whereabouts now) a person who had started his life from scratch to becoming one of the board of a huge public listed company in Kuala Lumpur. A great companion who is a go getter omnivorous to a calm and composed total vegan who later put away his worldly possessions to take a soul searching trip to Tibet.
His reasons for this spiritual journey?
Fulfilling his desperation in finding the missing thing in him that not money nor people can give. This turn was taken after the death of his maternal grandmother. The interesting part about this old lady was, when they cremated her, they had found some bluish and whitish crystals among the ashes of the lifetime vegetarian woman.
And according to Buddhists, this is a show of some special things about the person. They believe that the crystals are formed as a result of spiritual realizations of the person and act as a reminder to those left behind of their own essential nature of purity that can be manifested by itself thru good deeds and all.
Of course, scientifically, there must be some reasons behind the appearance of the crystalline-liked things. Which people nowadays can create thru several process but with certain chemicals components that will take weeks to create.
On the other hand, this sort of 'revelation' happened to his family there and then after the cremation, thus there must be some explanation to it....
God has certain ways of moving His servants.

Years of sibling rivalry ends in murder
Chaw Cheng Hong, 26, was allegedly stabbed to death by his 23-year-old brother during a heated argument at their Taman Reservoir house in Luyang at about 5.20pm Tuesday.
Their shocked parents blamed the tragic death of the elder brother to years of endless arguments and fights between their only two children that dated back to their early childhood.
Cheng Hong, who was in his final year of masters degree programme at University Malaysia Sabah here, was apparently stabbed by his younger brother who holds a diploma in business management at least five times with a kitchen knife.
Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm Ahmad Sofi Zakaria said the younger brother had been detained to facilitate investigations for murder.
He said when police arrived after receiving information about the quarrel, the victim was lying on the floor while the younger brother was sitting on the sofa.
ACP Ahmad Sofi said the parents had apparently rushed home after being informed by one of the brother about their quarrel.
The 58-year-old father, a businessman, said that his sons were always at odds with each other since the younger one was about three-years-old.
He said there were several incidence in the past where quarrels between the two ended up with injuries to either one of them or both.
The mother, who works for a bank, said that most of the time the fights between the two brothers were over petty issues and she believed that it was due to jealousy and unhappiness.
According to the parents, they were planning to separate the children by sending the younger son to further his studies in Kuala Lumpur.

Oh God...tell me about sibling rivalry.
Perhaps there must be a reason, although it is superstitious to me, that people of the last generations (the Malays) used to keep their babies stump after it falls off because it is said that by doing so, it help them to feel love and respect of one another during their lifetime.

Liar Liar
I had just done watching some late 90s movie Liar Liar starring Jim Carrey. Not that i like Jim Carrey so much to be watching the movie, but the movie itself brought forward some character that one will come across in everyday life. That is the part that i like watching.
Seeing how they will be at the end of the day.
The story was about someone who would lie to get away with things or broken promises.
In life we sometimes lie.
Everyone of us.
Like it or not.
If anyone dare tell me that they had never lie in their whole entire life before -- that my friend is the Biggest lie ever!
Lying by blaming the traffic jam rather than admitting you got up late for an appointment with your prospective client is acceptable. Lying to kids about some 'adult-related' movies they caught us watching also will be acceptable because telling the whole truth about the whole thing when they're only six will make it even more complicated.
But when one lie about what they are not is totally not acceptable at all.
Perhaps, people with this attribute (lying) had not been bothered much by people or the social circle where these liars mingle and lives. This is because some people just don't bother much, don't care as long as their tail aren't stepped by the liar, and an obvious courtesy us human have ~ we want to avoid making enemies, and ripping the liar's off their dignity and self-respect.
So, what do we get in return? The liar will continue lying of course!
They will sway away among people with lies and their made-believe stories.
Although it is common, there are obviously many kinds of liars and the type lies.
There are people like the character Jim Carrey who'd lie to save him out of trouble, and there are people who lie just to gain respect from others.
Among this two character, the latter would definitely spelled horrid than the former. The latter I would not have any hesitancies categorising them as a compulsive liar.
Knowing one traits will have to come with experience.
I personally would not dare to admit I know this character if I myself had not been so gullible enough to be con by this type of people. When you know one, you'll know them all.
They have similar traits. They'll buy their way thru you by admitting and agreeing to your opinion and your lifestyle.
After a while you'll notice the inconsistencies in their stories, and once you got done putting the puzzle altogether, you'd be able to view the big picture clearly.
This compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit.
I must say that lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions and they will eventually, if not well prepared, be telling a different answers when you shot the same questions again later in the future!
This habitual liars are not shy to lie about everything at all, important or otherwise. Perhaps for them telling the truth had becoming a very awkward and uncomfortable thing to do and lying would be so comfy just like being wrapped under thick downs on cold winter nights.
And the most profoundly incomprehensible thing i found in liars are -- they don't feel a tinge of regrets, or remorse or guilt in their eyes when they lied. Somehow, i felt that they thought people that they lied to, are such a fool and personally i find it as a very hard slap on my intelligence.
My word for these sort of people; The truth will prevail and you better know which mask you put on today because people around you know what type of masks you had in your Pandora's box....
Have a nice day!

Who need friends....when we have internet?
Unless, of course you lived all alone or with your pet cat or dog. Besides that, i guess your time will definitely be well-filled with all human-related activities such as going to work; which will account roughly nine to 10 hours per day including driving back home( well unless you're one unproductive guy who doesn't know how to managed the given eight hours per day for work by going around carrying your empty coffee cup to blabber or catching up with the latest gossip from one room to another in the department). The remaining time would be segregated to some bonding time with the family and perhaps catching up with the news and reading.
Or perhaps, you just a housewife, with all those loads of house chores and cooking and running all around the house doing literally almost the same thing as yesterday. The remaining hours shall be donated to your kids and little or nothing at all for your own self. You will definitely find time to launch the internet when the kids are not at your back.
And perhaps for the luckier ones; the lady of leisure-- who'd wake up after 8am having coffee and orange juice and a slice of toast waiting for you and later just get going to the family lounge for an hour Pilate or running on the treadmill while watching some interesting soap or news. And perhaps finishing some paperwork for your NGO work and going thru documents for some companies that you're an appointed director. That will take up till lunch and when the kids comes home, as a good mother, you'd be mingling with them besides going thru some school work and entertaining their whims and fancies.
With all sort of lifestyles, time had been too constrained for most people thus making time to spend mingling and touching base with families and friends became shorter and shorter and to the extend of non-existence at all.
That is where, social networking platform such as twitter, facebook, Yahoo Messenger and other internet based communication take place...
And i believe, keeping in touch with people via the internet (besides occasional text messaging) is much easier too....one thing for sure-- you don't have to hassle yourself putting on some presentable outfit, or a lipstick. You can just sit at one corner of your lounge with your lappy and start punching the keyboard and have a conversation, while running to the kitchen to fix another cup of coffee, or munch some snacks and have a conversation with more than two person at one go. Viola!
Isn't it interesting at all?
Yes to people who know how to appreciate 24hrs in life, and No to people who'd find it more exhilarating, real bonding, blood-trenching, bodily exciting to have to meet with other people (besides during office hours, of course) every 48hrs of their life.
My being intolerant towards the ever flourishing pretentiousness and talking rots might be my only reason to having championed internet-based communication. Having to deal with many type of character and individuals with certain unlikeable habits, it is much better to keep relationship via the internet. Maybe some would look at the way i think as a total self-centred person, or some whom would labeled people with similar character as snobbish -- but having to deal with unpolished and close-minded character can be a tad bit too much for me honestly.....Not when life is catching up and hair is turning gray.
Perhaps due to being a person who don't really like people per se, and keeping in contact with only those selected few -- i have enjoyed being with myself, and still is to date- hopefully till i die. I have been loving almost everything about myself despite my little flaws here and there, and experience how the product of being strong mentally, cultivated since a tender age, will definitely have some benefits later in life. Of course reality-check should never be secondary unless you want to walk out of the house with a full blown-out head and be irritatingly opinionated -- Internet based communication would be my means of communication with friends and families.
I had been in contact with my girlfriend whom i had not been meeting for the past 14 years. Yes, to some point there aren't any conversation or interaction at all, but exchanging emails both informative and comedic once a while, is fine enough for us and we can still chat like we were fourteen years back .
Currently doing some research and reading on internet communication -- the effect of it to individual, society and it's blackspot, I'm hoping to get where I'm aiming for via this world wide web.
Happy internet-ing!

Ordinary people
I think i wanna get a bit emotional.
Im just wondering...how would ordinary people feel about having more than two homes. Im stressing the word ordinary people here because, ordinary people can't be flying back and forth thousands of kilometres every three months or so (which is what i WISHED i can do REALLY!), and especially with kiddo and all forever increasing flight surcharges. Ordinary people are not bounded by not leaving the country more than six months a year to avoid being slapped with certain fine or some other regulations. Ordinary people couldn't care much forking money for frequent flights, lets say minimum 4 times year।
So, im just an ordinary people and having my home in my birth country and another in the country where Malaysian call 'cari makan' place.
Im back to this little oil rich land....and still after couple of years, i just can't get to feel happy returning to this deserted land where i cant do much with what i want to do actually.
I guess having more than two homes or three for that matter wouldn't be so stressful ;if im not just an ordinary people, AND the homes are located one at my birth country, one by a quiet lake somewhere in Canada, and one in New York......
That would be nice.
So for the time being, i just have to accept my ordinary life, and pray hard i could win the half yearly QR10Million bank draw, or the monthly QR1million win....of course besides all the luxury cars for grab offered by some hyper market (read me : not international chain such as Carrefour).
Well, that isn't ordinarily conducted elsewhere in the world isn't it?

Coming to terms...
The on-going tremors on a daily basis and not reported due to the 'slight tremors' and not important earth 'movement'....it shows that the world is really tired with its inhabitants and the prophecy is showing day by day.
The world is too old and humankind keep on blatantly violating the environment and each another...What more a tiny individual can do when the big powers are out there to ruin the whole beautiful world that is now watching disaster coming in one by one and day after day.
May God be with us all.

Large Study Points to the Brain Benefits of Eating Fish
I had read one article (based on his thesis on the Jewish people and their lifestyle) by one Dr Stephen Carr Leon.
According to him, almost all of the time when he was invited to dine with a Jewish family -- fish is the main course.
And when their women are pregnant, fish and varieties of nuts would be her diet and snacks.
It's not an overstatement if I say that is why they are the brainy lots, would it?

Choose your life.
If there is one thing that I believe with all my heart it is that you can have any life you choose. You can live the life you have always dreamed of. We live in a period of unparalleled opportunity in human history. Think about it: Just one hundred years ago, most people really only had five or six options when it came to deciding what they would do with their lives. For most, they didn't even have the knowledge that they could do anything other than take over their father's farm when they turned eighteen!
But today a person living in the western world (and many other areas of the world as well) can choose to do virtually anything they want to! The key is the word "choose."
You see, the world is within your reach. Any job you want can be yours if you decide. All of the opportunities are there for the taking. The question is whether or not you will take.
You say, "But Chris, you just don't understand. I'm 38 years old with two kids and I have bills to pay. I make $28,000 a year. I can't just go become a doctor and make big money!"
And I say, "Yes you can! If you decide to. If you will take action, you can become a doctor or anything else you want to. We live in a day and age when virtually anything is possible."
For the sake of highlighting this principle, let's look at the above example. How would this person change careers? Simple. Here is the process in specific action steps:
1. Find out from a medical school what classes you would need to take to get in. Chances are your college major would need some rounding out or if you didn't go to college, you would need to do so. Maximum time to do this: 3 days.
2. Now, go to school. Maximum time to do this: 4 years.
3. Now, medical school and residency. Maximum time to do this: 6 years.
4. Begin practicing medicine.
At this point you would be 48 years old. That leaves you 17 years to practice. Now, let's see the impact it has on your life:
1. You get to pursue your dream, making you and your family MUCH happier.
2. You will make, on average, $100,000 more per year. The difference here is manifold! If you stayed where you were, you would have earned $28,000 a year for 27 years and would earn $756,000. If you left and pursued your dream, you would earn $128,000 for 17 years (that's if you took 10 years to make the transition; most would be less.) and your earnings would be $2,176,000! This is a difference of $1,420,000! And this doesn't even take into consideration the amounts you would earn on investments with the difference in incomes.
So is it possible? Yes. Does it take time? Yes. Is it hard? Yes. Is it scary? Yes, and that is why most people won't do it.
It isn't for lack of opportunity. It is usually because of one of the following:
- Lack of vision
- Lack of tenacity
- Fear
The truth is that you can do anything you want to. Stop telling yourself excuses! Go to battle against a lack of vision! Pick yourself up and get tenacious! Look fear in the face and stand up to it! Your whole life depends on it, my friend!
The choice is yours. Will you continue to limp along in life because you don't have the courage to run for your dream? Will you continue to allow the fear of poverty keep you from pursuing the riches, both materially and emotionally, that lay within the vision you have of what your life could be?
You CAN live the life you have always dreamed of. All you want is within your reach. But to pick it up, you must first empty your hands of what they already hold. Then you must reach for it, take a hold of it, and possess it!

***************************************************
The above was taken from one of motivational speaker, Chris Widener's speech.
Not that i am one of those people whom will subscribe or enjoy listening to motivational talks given by all these speakers in seminars, workshops or even via DVDs, but somehow this particular subject matter strikes my attention and again act as an alarm for me to start acting on something.
"We can have any life that we choose"
It is about doing the thing that one really want in life.
Just to divert from the original subject, i believe this philosophy would work well if it were to be implied into all younger generations mind starting from the tender age of 13. This vital period of growing into young adult should be made useful in educating the need of making decision and choosing their path in life. They should also be made known of any consequences of their actions and inactions.
Expecting and being educate on what life may offer them will, in my opinion saves them from being ridiculed and moulding them to be a tougher person at facing all sort of challenges in life. What most parents are doing right now is making sure the grades would never be low and that's that. What about the perspective in life, because having good grades doesn't secure better life although it can (perhaps) secure better level in management in a company. Younger generations should already be made known of what they want to do in their life.
They should be given an example on all sort of things so for them to understand the challenges they will be facing as an adult later in life.
Okay, coming back to the original topic, since i am one of the example of a person that were given the chance to select the course that i want to pick up after completing my secondary level by my parents (unlike some of my peers whom are made to choose or better said 'dictated' by their parents) i selected art -- as it is what i love most at that time.
Knowingly that it would only satisfy my interest, and having succeeded getting a place in one of the best Art&Design institute (at that time), i know I'm in it for the sake of art and the 'artistic' part of me.... rather than thinking of what i really want to be when I'm an adult, so to say.
Getting back to the subject of 'you can have any life that you choose' -- there are two things that i really want to pursue in my life, which, one of them i had already taken the effort seven years ago although not completed yet, and one more still awaiting opportunity (actually opportunity is just as an excuse.....i have it, but there are two hindrance at the moment...again, an excuse ...*wink wink* sigh!).
Yeah... so, basically calculating and minusing this and that...i had wasted five years of my life on starting my second most desired thing to do......
